Actually I was planning on buying the first one as well. I'll buy it in December though when I've got the time to play. The PC version that is.

Hmm, not sure. I am too into Left 4 Dead 2 right now to load it up. I wonder if it feels dated or something now. It will be hard to get used to no melee weapons and such.

I never played left 4 dead 2, though i believe it will be a little sad to have that limitation, but i like the first ones maps better.

The new maps don't really grab my attention.

@Jeust: Oh I plan to...that is, if I can find a copy of it somewhere. I'll look next week after college. I'll give you a shout when I do.

Ok! But do it if you want it too, don't let me drag you into this... It would be unfair :)

@Jeust: Oh no. I normally don't play mulitplayer games much but I gave it a shot on a friend's PC (playing with bots) and I found it really fun. I figured it'll be cheap by now so I thought I'll get it anyway. Don't know if I can actually get it next week since I've already spent most of my money on nature documentaries but after the end of this month, money shouldn't be a real problem.

When you can... :)

I don't like multiplayer games very much either, but this one is different, and it is cool to play a little bit.

Having a different story each time to tell, stupid mistakes and cool happenings. :p

I have no doubt that the old maps will be ported to the new game.

Don't know really... even because it means a good deal of extra work that i don't think valve programmers are to thrilled to do.

You don't need Valve programmers to port a few maps. It could be done by a few guys in their spare time.

It's not a question, I'm aware of people already working on this.

The old maps have been ported already, but there are a lot of problems, and you will likely encounter a lot of crashes. I saw it posted around some larger news sites today, but I don't feel like looking for the article right now. Here is how you can though if you don't mind doing some work and know how.

I'll get back to the original eventually.  I can't ignore that crew of pill poppers.

Pills here indeed.
