A must own gem of a game
Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver is by far the best, most important entry in the LoK series in my opinion. It managed to take elements from the original cult classic Legacy of Kain Blood Omen, and reinvented them in a all new and exiting fashion. And that’s saying a lot seeing as how Legacy of Kain Blood Omen was absolutely outstanding for its time. Even today this game remains ultimately playable, and a must own classic for anybody interested in, or following the LoK series. With any luck they will remake this timeless gem with next generation graphics in the future. Can only hope. The last entry is this great series was the disappointing Legacy Of Kain Defiance, which just couldn't live up the Legacy of Kain name with a poor camera, un-intuitive game play, and an uninspired story. It Just goes to show that the developer's struck gold when constructing the original Soul Reaver, and how it still manages to outlast the test of time and has aged beautifuly. I would absolutely love to see this masterpiece remade, or better yet, a new entry in the series; Its about time there was one.
