I had a party of 2 warriors and 2 rogues. So, basically, if you don't have a mage in your party you can't cast spells.

I'm only on level 6 right now but my party of four human fighters is working pretty well so far.

I finished the game on normal with these stats. I used a rogue, fighter and two mages. These are actually pretty different stats.
