Overview
The Legend of Xanadu II (風の伝説ザナドゥII), which translates directly as "Legend of the Wind: Xanadu II," is a squeal to the original The Legend of Xanadu developed and published by Falcom for the PC Engine-CD. The game is an action RPG released in Japan on June 30, 1995 and is the fourth installment in the Xanadu series created by Falcom. The Legend of Xanadu II was also labeled as the final entry in the Dragon Slayer franchise with the game being subtitled as "The Last of Dragon Slayer" in the title's opening.
Years later an emulated PC version of The Legend of Xanadu II was included in a pack along with its predecessor in the first edition of Xanadu Next in 2005 and it was contained in the Dragon Slayer Chronicles collection from 2012. The emulated PC release was later published on Project EGG in 2007 and the title was also made available on the Wii's Virtual Console in 2009.
