Resident Evil 2

Leon's Scenario A

Fresh out of the police academy, Leon S. Kennedy arrives in Raccoon City for his first day of work at the Raccoon Police Department about a day into the T-Virus outbreak that now consumes the city.  While fleeing from a small group of infected citizens, Leon has a chance encounter with Claire Redfield, a young college student in search of her brother, and together they escape the streets into an abandoned patrol car and begin their attempt to escape from Raccoon City.

Unfortunately for the duo, the vehicle had not been abandoned by choice, and the officer previously in ownership of the vehicle reanimates from infection and attacks them from the back seat of the patrol car.  Doing everything he can to keep the creature off of him, Leon slams the car into a brick wall, launching their zombie assailant through the windshield.  Now irreparably stationary in their damaged vehicle, Leon and Claire are forced to abandon the safety of the police cruiser when a semi-truck operated by a driver that had reanimated into one of the undead behind the wheel comes barreling toward them.  Separated by the explosive collision, Leon instructs Claire to find her own path to the Raccoon police station and begins his own journey to the same destination.

Staggering into a gun shop after several minutes of fleeing from Raccoon's undead hordes, Leon meets Robert Kendo, the owner of the Kendo Gun Shop.  Kendo offers his store as shelter to Leon, but the safety of the store is compromised when several virus carriers pile into the store through the wall-sized display windows and devour the shop owner.  Leon retrieves the man's shotgun and continues on his way to the RPD.

Upon arriving at the RPD, Leon comes into contact with Marvin Branagh, a police officer that has been fatally wounded by one of the many zombies roaming the station.  He gives Leon a keycard, granting him access to the various wings of the police station, and forces the rookie cop to leave him to die.  Leon promises to return and rescue the officer, but Branagh simply locks Leon out of the room.  Leon does eventually re-encounter Branagh as one of the living dead, and is forced to kill him.

Leon and Claire encounter one-another in the S.T.A.R.S. Office, and Leon hands over a diary left by Claire's brother stating that he was headed for Europe.  The rookie promptly suggests to Claire that they split up and search for survivors in the station, and meet up to escape from the city.  This doesn't go exactly as planned.

Leon meets a young woman named Ada Wong who has witnessed the Raccoon outbreak in its entirety.  Leon helps her get into the holding cells, which is blocked by a large armored vehicle, so that she can find and interrogate a man named Ben Bertolucci on the whereabouts of her boyfriend John, and whether or not he knows anything about how the viral outbreak occurred.  Bertolucci is less than compliant, and so the two of them give up on attempting to get any information out of him.  Only a few short moments later however, Bertolucci is attacked and implanted by G-Mutant William Birkin.  In his dying moments, he gives up everything, including the police chief's involvement with the outbreak, and a short note about Albert Wesker's involvement with the Spencer Mansion incident.

With Bertolucci dead, Leon and Ada decend into the sewers, where Leon is shot and wounded by a frantic Annette Birkin.  It is during this time that Leon once again encounters Claire, while Ada chases Annette down and extracts information from her about William, and his ultimate causing of the T-Virus outbreak before being attacked by a mutated alligator and rescued by a still-wonded Leon.

While descending into the Umbrella Corporation's hidden laboratory beneath Raccoon's sewer network, Ada is assaulted by the mutated William and badly wounded.  Leon engages the creature and comes out on top, but is surprised to find the creature's body gone after returning to the scene of the battle from recovering Ada.

Promising to find the way out for both of them, Leon leaves his wounded companion in a security medical room within the laboratory and heads out on his own.  It isn't long before he encounters a hysterical Annette Birkin.  Though she believes that he really is a police officer, she insists to Leon that Ada is a mercenary hired by an agency to recover the G-Virus from her husband and prepares to kill him for no particular reason.  She's stopped cold when William causes tremors through the laboratory, piling rubble on top of his former wife and activating the self-destruction mechanism in the process.  Leon retrives the G-Virus sample from her body.

Leon flees toward a small train station located in the lab's lower platform, but is stopped by Ada, who reveals that she really has been sent to recover the G-Virus from Birkin and holds the rookie cop at gun point, insisting that he hand over the sample.  Unable to actually go through with shooting the man that had saved her life numerous times during the night, she lowers her weapon when Leon refuses, but is shot from behind by Annette, who's lifeless body crumples to the floor immediately afterward.  Ada is propelled over the railing of the small catwalk, and though Leon tries to save her, she lets go of his hand, claiming she would only slow him down, and falls to her apparent demise.  In return, Leon angrily tosses the G-Virus sample over the catwalk along with her in contempt for Umbrella.

Before making it to the train, Leon once again encounters the mutated William, who has achieved a new level of grotesque power since their last encounter.  Despite this, he is easily dispatched by Leon, who then makes use of a large industrial elevator and hops aboard a small train on which Claire is waiting for him with Sherry Birkin

William Birkin attacks once again, drawn to the scent of his young, still-living daughter.  Now taking the form of a horrific blob, Birkin is not so easily killed.  Claire narrowly escapes the monster while activatng the train self-destruction mechanism.  The three survivors abandon the train and find themselves safe in the outskirts of Raccoon City.  Leon looks into the future, and vows to help Claire find her brother.

Resident Evil 4

Six years after the events of Resident Evil 2 and only a year after the fall of the Umbrella Corporation, Leon has used the prowess learned from his survival of the Raccoon City incident to become a government special agent tasked with the protection of the Presidential family. Only a short while after taking on this assignment, the president's daughter Ashley Graham is kidnapped and relocated to Spain.

Leon is dispatched to Spain to rescue her, and finds that something worse than the Umbrella Corporation virus has leaked out her. Every citizen of the small community that he visits is infected with some kind of strange new plague known as Las Plagas, and while they aren't cannibalistic murderers, they're all out for Leon's blood.

Leon is captured very early on, and is injected with the Las Plagas parasite. He meets Luis Sera, a young Spaniard who seems to have gotten caught up in the wrong crowd. Their introductions are short, and Luis is very quick to leave Leon behind once the two of them escape from captivity.

Despite efforts to stop him from doing so, Leon is able to rescue Ashley very early in his mission, but escape becomes no easy task when Ganados begin shooting down the few extraction choppers that are sent. Leon find himself trapped within the village with a young, untrained girl that he must protect. To top it all off, Ashley reveals to Leon that she had also been injected with the parasite upon capture by Lord Saddler and the Los Illuminados.

Leon and Ashley encounter Luis inside of an old house and they are besieged by Ganados from all sides. The two skilled marksman are able to fight them off.

While their escape from the village wasn't easy, Leon and Ashley find themselves in a bigger mess when they enter a large castle overlooking the village. Luis Sera is killed by Lord Saddler while attempting to bring an antidote to the duo in order to cure the infection, and Ashley is once again captured by the Los Illuminados with the help of Ramon Salazar when the first signs of infection begin to appear within her body, and she accidentally runs into a trap in a panic.

Leon does battle through the castle against Salazar's forces. Along the way, he meets up with Ada Wong, who has apparently survived her "death" in the secret Umbrella laboratory beneath Raccoon City six years earlier. It is revealed that she has been working for former S.T.A.R.S. Captain Albert Wesker all along. The redevous doesn't last long, with Ada narrowly escaping Leon's clutches.

Leon eventually engages a mutated Salazar in combat and comes out of top, allowing him to join Ada aboard a small boat, taking them both to an island at which Ashley is being held as a prisoner. Leon's own infection symtoms begin to occur on the island, and he viciously attacks Ada who relents by attacking him back, knocking him out of the crazed, savage blood lust caused by the infection.

Despite Saddler's solid attempts to stop him, Leon once again rescues Ashley from the cult leader's clutches. Using an extraction device, the two are cured of the Las Plagas parasite and move on to face Saddler himself. With Ada's help, Leon is able to defeat Saddler once and for all.

With Saddler dead, Leon retrieves a sample of the Las Plagas parasite, but is once again held at gun point by Ada, whose entire mission has been to retrieve the sample for Wesker. Leon reluctantly hands the sample over, making sure Ada understands the deja vu caused by the turn of events. Ada hands Leon the keys to a jet ski before being extracted by a chopper.

Using the keys given to them by Ada, Leon and Ashley escape the island mere seconds before the various facilities within self-destruct. They sit on the small vehicle in the open ocean, looking out into the new day ahead of them, awaiting rescue.

Resident Evil: Degeneration

A year after the events in Resident Evil 4, Leon is summoned to the small town of Harvardville when a T-Virus outbreak occurs in an airport terminal. Now a special agent assigned to combatting bio-terrorism, Leon is the obvious choice to clean up the mess given his experience during the Raccoon City outbreak.

With the aid of Angela Miller, Leon is able to rescue Claire Redfield, Senator Davis and Rani Chawla from within the zombie infested terminal. Upon reaching the small military encampment outside the airport, it is discovered that WilPharma--a pharmaceutical corporation suspected of taking over Umbrella's research on the T-Virus--has actually developed a vaccine and begins innoculation of everyone involved. There they meet Frederic Downing, WilPharma's head researcher. The various trucks are destroyed in some form of terrorism, eliminating the vaccine from the equation.

Leon accompanies Angela to the home of her brother Curtis, whom they all suspect is behind the recent viral outbreak since he went insane from the death of his family during the Raccoon City incident, while Claire accompanies Downing to WilPharma's lab. Leon and Angela find Curtis' home in flames.

Leon receives a call from Claire, who claims that WilPharma has retrieved a sample of William Birkin's G-Virus and that Senator Davis wanted the virus destroyed before WilPharma can be prosecuted for posession of the virus. Before the two old friends can finish their conversation, a bomb within the laboratory is set off, and they loose contact.

Leon and Angela waste no time getting to WilPharma. Angela is sent to the lower levels to the building, while Leon goes above to search for Claire. He finds the girl rather quickly, her leg wounded, and sets her on an elevator toward her escape.

He arrives to Angela's aid just as her brother is mutated into the very same creature that William Birkin had become years before. The two of them fight it fruitlessly, but Leon is finally able to dispatch iof the creature when it takes hold of a suspended Angela in an effort to keep from falling into the flames of a massive explosion. Leon shoots it in the head, and it plummets away.

Outside, Leon reveals to Claire and Senator Davis that--with the aid of Curtis Miller--Frederic Downing is truly responsible for the outbreak in the terminal. He had been pushing the Umbrella Corporation's viruses on the black market while working for WilPharma, putting them into the hands of third-world warlords. Leon, Angela and Claire confront Downing and retrieve the T-Virus, T-Vaccine and the G-Virus from his posession, placing Downing himself under arrest.

The next day, Leon and Claire reveal to Angela that Downing had confessed to everything, and that the viral outbreak in Harvardville had simply been a demonstration to a man named General Grande. Leon and Claire say their goodbyes to one another, hoping to meet again when things are less chaotic. Claire watches Leon take off in his government chopper before leaving in the limo offered by Rani's aunt.
