Lightning is the main character of Final Fantasy XIII. At the moment, her mission/purpose in the game is unknown, but some people believe that she is possibly on a mission to fight a corporation named Cocoon. She carries a weapon that can transform between two forms. It can change from a sword for melee combat to a semi-automatic gun for ranged combat. In addition to her gunblade, she has the ability to manipulate gravity, for use in combat or yet unknown purposes. The yellow notches on her shoulder represent her rank.
