A young boy seeks to rescue his lost sister from the dreary, dangerous world of Limbo in this monochrome puzzle-platformer.
I don't get it...
Look around, there are already topics discussing this. However...
1. Observe the very last scene. The main things to note are the positions of the boy and girl, and the state of the treehouse.
2. Look at those same features on the scene that's displayed after the credits have rolled.
3. Look at the title of the game,
4. ???
5. Mind = blown?
Honestly, the ending didn't "blow my mind", but the more you think about it, the more you realize how messed up it really is.

The ending is slightly more complex than most think, this is what I think. The area the boy is reunited with his sister in is the same are as the title screen, except in the title screen everything seems older, (The ladder has degredated severely.) and there are flies buzzing around two spots, hinting that the boy and his sister died. The best reason I have heard is that the two died when their treehouse fell, as you see a treehouse in the title screen. The two can only find one another in Limbo
@Landon: Well, I don't think it's a result of a tree house. As noted earlier, the boy crashes through a pane of glass and then ends up back in the woods. If you look carefully on top, you can see what looks to be a car on the main screen. If that doesn't say car crash, I don't know what does.

" @TomA said:I'd say it's juuuuuuust right. :)" This game is too hard "Having played Braid, I'd say it's too easy. "
Also felt the ending was a little sudden, probably play that last bit again and try and pick up on the finer details ya'll mentioned.

" Edited because I can't get the spoiler tag working properly, so obviously, SPOILERS.It is extremely interesting to hear these quite valid opinions. It could easily be both, or neither.

I personally thought that as soon as the boy crashed through the glass, he awoke surrounded by trees, just like the beginning of the game. I thought that signified that he was "stuck in Limbo", doomed to forever repeat his search for his sister. (This idea was, of course, shattered when he actually found her in the end. Huh.)
