You may have noticed i haven't really been active on GS at all - in Unions, System Wars, blogging or user reviews. Inversely: my time spent going through my backlog of games have increased, tremendously.
I don't know when i'll start resuming reviews but for now i've just rated the games i've completed. If anyone would like to read my review of a particular game in my recently rated games list, don't hesitate to ask - i'll consider wirting it.
Anyway, here's a "small" update on game related things;

Guilty Gear was an excellent price of £5, about the price of a simple takeaway meal.
I have opened all but Trauma Center at the moment.
Played through RE: UC co op - very good game within its genre.
Ghost Squad completed single and co op - Average. Worth picking up on the cheap.
Link's Crossbow Training, yet to finish all missions - Good value with 'gun', challenging.
Metroid Prime 3 - Stunning environments, some aspects were underwhelming.
Playing through Okami right now - simply beautiful.
Finally fiinished Sub Space Emissary in Super Smash Bros Brawl...*uh hum*...
Half Life 2: Episode 2 was excellent, it's right up there with HL2.
Completed Luigi's Mansion in around 2 days (between work, sleep) - Very good, but very short.
I'm also playing through Resident Evil Zero on the GC. Very good so far...
----------------------------------
2 New games i got in the last 2 days: Mario Kart Wii and Boom Blox.

Mario Kart Wii was very good, i've only played through 3 cups in 50CC, all with just the steering wheel. I've yet to try online, Wiimote + Nunchuck, Gamecube Controller.
I haven't tried Boom Blox yet, i'll give it a go once i've done these 2 things - complete Final Fantasy IV DS (very almost there), and Bioshock PC (just about nearing the end).

Hey guys, I'm back with another edition of In-Game Menu, the dynamically-changing video gaming writer's column. Sorry for posting this late; I would've put this up yesterday (Sunday) but I was at a Bad Company/Blue Oyster Cult concert. In addition, at the moment I'm currently typing this on a laptop in a hotel room at the Homewood Suites in scenic Philadelphia, PA.
So in the interest of satisfying you, the reader (and getting to sleep......I'm beat), here is my review of this week:
- Though I'm not great at it, I've been playing tons of Geometry Wars 2 on the Xbox 360. It's amazing. What more can I say? In addition to that, I've been playing some Orange Box (HL2, TF2, Portal to be precise; haven't gotten to Ep. 1 or 2 yet), and tons of Rock Band.
- The Wii has been getting tons of playtime lately as I finally hunkered down and bought a goddamn Zapper. I really like the arcade aesthetic of Link's Crossbow Training, and I've added some of the other light gun games for the Wii to my GameFly Q. Also, I've had a resurgence in Twilight Princess and Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
- On the DS, I've been playing Advance Wars: Dual Strike. I've never actually beaten an Advance Wars game; after awhile, I get bored, abandon the game for months on end, and when I pick it back up again I start over. Odd....
- As I said last time, Crisis Core for the PSP has arrived from GameFly, and I'm really enjoying it. I've never been a big fan of Final Fantasy, but this game may change my mind.
Well, that's all for now. Time for me to hit the hay! Goodnight Giant Bomb! Until next time!

I barely slept at all. I wanted to come back. I
HAD to come back.
A user-friendly place to build a profile, post on forums, keep a blog AND update my knowledge of useless video game trivia while making my own contributions??
Yes,
please.
On another note, Wii really isn't looking so hot right not, and that sentiment is being echoed throughout a lot of gaming communities, this one included.
*sniff* They don't love me anymore...
That lackluster E3 conference didn't help, but I think it's also the fact that many of the Wii's lofty promises simply aren't coming through, coupled with the console's increasingly crippling hardware limitations. The console was very inexpensive at launch, but if I keep having to buy more peripherals to get the full experience, it's going to start adding up.
True, none of them are really necessary, but it's still undermining the simplicity and accessibility Nintendo touted before launch. With every new peripheral, Nintendo hypes the crap out of it, really giving the impression that you NEED the balance board, Zapper, Wii Wheel, MotionPlus, etc to get the experience they originally intended with the console.
Honestly, I'm starting to wish the console was a bit more expensive and took a little more time to develop, because this little bugger is starting to look more and more premature.
But hey, still love Mario Galaxy!
