I did not think it as was terrible as most people thought, but compared to the classic GnR it just doesn't live up to the hype

I'm a huge GNR fan, and I really like chinese democracy, I think its arranged well and has some good ideas.

however I can understand some of the hate, it was way too late for what it was, axl is a bit of a pompous arse, and it was hyped to hell.

No. Fun fact. At the Best Buy I work at we had a pull for cds we were sending back to the distributor. A couple months after release we sent back 595 copies of Chinese democracy. Was hell to count out.
