Biography Lita Ford has a successful solo career as a heavy metal solo act, with her biggest hits being released in the 1980s. Before her solo career, she played guitar for a band called The Runaways alongside Joan Jett (who has also has a successful solo career) until the band broke up in 1979.
Personal LifeFord had a relationship with Motley Crue bassist and songwriter Nikki Sixx for a short time in the 80s. She is currently married to Jim Gilette, formerly the singer of the band Nitro.
Music Lita's first solo record was "Out for Blood, released in 1983.
One of her most famous songs is "Close My Eyes Forever", a duet with Ozzy Osbourne, which peaked at number 8 on the Billboard charts.
In 2009, Lita released her first album in fourteen years, "Wicked Wonderland".
