Little Nemo is based on a comic strip for the 1940's, Nemo is a young boy from London summoned to the kingdom of Slumberland, a fantasy realm filled with strange creatures and dream-like locations.

Plot

Little Nemo: The Dream Master is an NES game that is based on the animated film, Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland. Like the film, in the game, Nemo travels to Nightmare Land, in his own dreams, to rescue the King of Slumberland, Morpheus, from the King of Nightmares.

Gameplay

It is a platformer style game where the key action involves using the help of creatures in Nemo's dreams to reach the end of a level. By feeding them candy, Nemo can either ride them, or become them to make use of their powers.

For example, if you fed the bee creature candy, you can jump onto him and become a bee with Nemo's face. You could then fly for short periods of time, as the bee.

Before you feed them, the helper animals will not attack you, but can still hurt you if you touch them. You must feed them three candies to ride or become them.

The use of candies and helper creatures is integral to completing levels, as you often cannot reach the next area without using their special powers.
