There's been this rumor about how this game will also be available on the PSN store but with less objects and scenery and custumization options.
Which version will oyu get if you knew the PSN store version is half price since it isn't on blu-ray.
I would go for the Blu-ray version since it has more content but I wouldn't want to for example swap disks so I can play Little Big Planet !!!
I mean you have GTA IV in your drive but you just want to try something on LBP for like 10 min why swap disks, right ?
Anyhow how do you feel about this ? It was announced as a PSN title !!!
LittleBigPlanet
Game » consists of 8 releases. Released Oct 27, 2008
Lead the way as a player-created Sackperson in the highly customizable side-scrolling world of LittleBigPlanet, where players can play, create, and share 2.5D levels with their friends and the whole PSN community.
If it is on PSN which version will you get ?
the blu-ray is huge and if its true what theyve been saying about filling the blu-ray with stuff it might take multipul days to download it through psn.
yeah that's true actually.
PS: Sorry about the double post of the same topic !!! That really wasn't my intension, it happened because I double clicked the post topic button. I seek forgiveness !
It would really depend on how much less content there would be and what the cost difference is.
Assuming both were equal (or the price difference was enough to justify it), I'd get the PSN version simply because it could take a week or more to import the game and I wouldn't want to wait.
If the PSN version is at $40(like Warhawk and Socom will), I'll definantly download this to my Harddrive over buying a more expensive Blu Ray Disc
I doubt that they will add more to the Blu Ray than the PSN version, because they probably want all versions of what their customer has to be the same
I remember them mentioning that the best levels made on the PSN version by users will make it on to the blu-ray disk version although im nt sure anyways if that is true it would mean that the PSN version would come out earlier
So your in a dilemma because i want to play it as early as possible but i also want some of the really good content on the disk straight away. but i guess u could just find it on the PSN version of the network
bluray, i never downloaded nething from the PSN store except demos, videos, themes, and other free things :)
"I'd get the Blu-ray version, mainly because I like having hard copies of games with the handbook etc.. Also my wireless router isn't the best, usually it's fine but every once in a while it just disconnects so I'll stick to the blu-ray disc.I agree, if a game is released as an blue ray game as well as a download I would probably buy the disc version to have something that I can "touch" complete with handbook and such.
"
Blu-ray Disc... special edition plus now coming with a hamburger...
'Cause they should throw a special edition LBP with sackboy and, I don't know, the original soundtrack and making off...
I didn't think I liked LBP, but for what've seen it'll be an instant Must Have...
:) counting down till october!
You know it's strange, I always kind of assumed this would be a PSN only game, just seems like it would be a good fit.
However, if you have to get a disk for all the content, then I guess disk it is.
I will be getting the retail copy because I absolutely hate digital distribution. I hate it for movies...for music...and games as well. I prefer having physical media and if these businesses ever went to 100% digital distribution I could very likely stop playing games/purchasing movies etc. I just hate, hate, HATE it!
"Ffs people its only coming on BD! XDDude that's not true. The Lead designer was doing a demo in comic con for the guys at BBC and he stated "when we ship it on PSN and Blu-ray we'll probably be amazed by what the users will create" etc. etc.
"
I don't have any links to give you because I don't have it anymore, it's coming out on both !!!
Like that Coca Cola commercial, "Baby, with cream or chocolate sauce?" *guy turns head* "Both!!!*
*Helicopter extraction, go go go* *blam explosion*

I know, that was a long time ago though. At first it was ONLY going to be PSN release. But as it has grown it will come out only on BD. Trust me.
"^ dude wtf ? I said it was during comic-con, like comic-con this year !!
"
Oh I missed that, I didn't hear anything about it going to PSN at comic-con... How would all those levels from the SP be released on PSN? They even said 'Me have a full BD worth of levels', so I don't see it going to PSN as a full release. We'll see though I guess.
Blu-Ray version. I bought Warhawk on the PSN, but I don't regret it. Although, it's a lot nicer to have a game on a physical copy. I plan to buy SOCOM: Confrontation on Blu-Ray (it does come with a sexy headset too. Official :P) and the same goes for LBP. The only games I'll buy on PSN are small games.
