Multiplayer?

I have the game and I'm wondering how I can play in the multiplayer mode (I'm new to the PSP). I have set up Ad Hoc with my friend, but we cannot figure out how to get the game in multiplayer. I checked the manual and the ad-hoc troubleshooting on playstation.com. Any help on where I can get into the multiplayer mode on the PSP for LocoRoco 2 would be greatly appreciated.
