This game is a little lost....
So Lost: Via Domus is the game version of the popular TV series, Lost. I doubt that I am the first to say that... well it's a TV series so I didn't have high hopes even though I loved the show but nonetheless I bought it, still own it and still play it. So lets get down to the review.
Lost: Via Domus takes place during the first two seasons of the show which seems to be a nice idea because it came out around the time of the 3rd season. You'd think that it would be awesome to play as Jack, Kate, Sawyer and Charlie so you could get your Lost fix before the next episode! But wait, you don't get to be Jack, or Kate or any cast member from the show. Nope, you get to be the ever so popular, never heard of paparazzi, Elliot Maslow. So there ya have it folks, disappointment already.
While this can be forgiven and looked at as a cool new way to approach the Lost story line it unfortunately delivers a lackluster single player that really falls short on the story, fails in the mini games and character interaction and the combat exists of you taking pictures in flashbacks or of the hatch as well as some cave crawling with a torch that always goes out and shooting a gun maybe 5 times. Literally the only "fun" parts to this game are talking to the shell of a cast member characters (which barely counts as fun), watching the opening cutscene and partaking in two chase scenes which are actually pretty good.
Unfortunately for Lost: Via Domus, Nostalgia and chase scenes barely gets the game on it's feet before it falls once more into the dark abyss it spawned from.
A generous 2 out of 5 from the crazy Lost fan.
