Would love to see him in that game, but knowing Miyamoto Luigi will most likely not be playable or even appear in the game.

luigi is a playable  character in super mario galaxy 2.    

I never understood why Luigi never handled different than Mario, maybe different Jump arcs or something? or am i missing something?

Luigi jumps higher while Mario runs faster and don't slide when stopping. "
