This post relates to:
skate.,
Lumines Live!,
Sonic the Hedgehog,
Metal Slug 3,
Condemned 2: Bloodshot
And that's exactly how much I spent on games yesterday.
skate.
Condemned 2: Bloodshot.
Metal Slug 3
Sonic the Hedgehog
Lumines Live!
Suffice to say I'm now out of money for the next week and a day but these games should keep me enticed until then.
Skate is fast becoming an awesomely fun experience, whilst Condemned 2 is infuriatingly difficult, but constantly eery and a great stimulator for an allnighter.
Metal Slug 3 is just as I remember it, only without the necessity to slot excessive amounts of coins into the machine.
Sonic is Sonic. Sweet!
And Lumines is catchy as hell!

This post relates to:
Ikaruga,
Burnout Paradise,
Marble Blast Ultra,
Streets of Rage 2,
Soul Calibur IV,
Resistance: Fall of Man,
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance,
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2,
skate.,
Condemned 2: Bloodshot,
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3,
Silent Hill 4: The Room,
Silent Hill 2,
Lumines Live!,
Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2
So over the last week I've been playing a lot of games. I guess it's just my itch to as I've sort of been abstaining from them altogether for the last two months. I've purchased many an XBLA game, very exciting stuff. Just recently (about four hours ago) I went to the GameStop to trade in some games for store credit. I traded in
Condemned 2,
skate,
Rainbow Six: Vegas 2,
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, and
Resistance: Fall of Man. What shocked me is that I got about $80 for the whole shindig. Fancy that.
What a bloody mess.
So I picked up some used games, including:
Silent Hill 2,
Silent Hill 4: The Room, and
Persona 3. I've been wanting the former two for a while, and Persona was just a good deal at 25 bucks. That combined with a 1600 Microsoft Points card ran me like 77 dollars, not a bad deal. I resisted the urge to pick up
Soul Calibur IV, as that would have foiled my plans completely.
So for the arcade games. Earlier this week I picked up
N+ and
Lumines Live. They are both fairly great games, that occupy completely different sections of my brain. The ninja game makes me want to kill myself, only because it's so damn hard. Chilling out and playing some Lumines afterwards is definitely time well-spent after the intensity of that other game. Oh yes,
Ikaruga. Played that a bit with the EightBitWarrior. Anywho.
You have no idea.
So I purchased a rather significant arcade game, beyond all those. That game is
Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved². And what a doozy this is.
I think I'm in love, I can't get enough of it. I didn't think I'd get this much enjoyment out of the game, but I honestly love all the game types. I've gotten all but three achievements out of it, and I'm pretty sure at the moment that two of those are out of my grasp. Not talking about "
Wax Off" however, I smoked that early (since it's my favorite game mode). My best score right now is in Pacifism, being 13+ million or so. I urge other people to give it a shot, beyond the demo. Even if you think you don't like Geometry Wars, like I did. I'm addicted to beating high scores, even though I'm not particularly good at the game, anybody can score 1 million + in the gametypes with a little practice.
I'm going to either hold out for
Bionic Commando Rearmed to spend the rest of my digital fortune, or splurge on two 400 point games, ideally that there
marble game and a
sequel to a great brawler. Let me know what you think.
P.S.
I've been back into Burnout Paradise as you may or may not know, I need to do challenges with people, so if anyone actually owns the game you should hit me up and we'll play.
