M.A.C.H. 3, short for Military Air Command Hunter (as well as referencing triple the speed of sound) is a laserdisc-based arcade shooter from Gottlieb. Warren Davis and Jeff Lee, (of Q*Bert fame) programmed and drew the non-laserdisc components respectively.

    Bomber Mode
    Bomber Mode

The game features two distinct modes; a fighter mode with a perspective elevated and behind the player-controlled fighter, and a top-down bombing run. Target sprites, such as missile silos, enemy aircraft, and tanks are rendered in the foreground over the filmed background. The player destroys as many targets as possible during the run to accumulate points. Gameplay ends when the player either finishes one either mission, or is killed three times (by default).
