Grubba as the referee of the arena, ready to start the match.

Grubba is one of the characters that appeared in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. He was the first referee of the Glitz Pit and promoter of the arena along with his assistant, Jolene. During the game's third chapter, Mario and his crew came here to fight as a team in the tournament. He provides the commentary before the start of the match by introducing the fighters and giving them a little chat. Also, he has a special accent during the chapter and announce the winners at the end of the fight. At the end of the chapter, he used the Gold Star to power up to his Macho form and became the final boss of the chapter but ended up being defeated. Grubba is a great guy when he comes to being the promoter at the arena.
