    Madden's Ultimate Team mode is strangely enticing in that it offers you the chance to build, well, the ULTIMATE TEAM.  If only it weren't so damn hard to get coins.  21,000 coins for a platinum card pack?  I'll never win that many games!

    "Oh, but there's an easier way," EA says in a hushed tone.  "Step into this dark alley and look at all these coins."  Sure, okay...no!  I will not pay real money for your stupid fake coins, EA!  I won't!

    I might buy some Doritos to get promo cards though...

    Yep, it's a sad time indeed.

    I was about to suggest a trainer for it, but even if one existed, you would probably have to pay for that too. :(

    Good luck with your Doritos!

    @Axxol:  yes they are.  Damn them and their dark alliance with EA, though.

    oh yeah, don't bother with the Doritos anyway.  There's only  about 3 different codes you can get and they've been posted online already.  You get Drew Brees, Reggie Wayne, and Jared Allen for I think 6 games and you can't extend their contracts, auction them off or put them in a collection.  You also get some other cards but the only useful ones are the contract/injury cards.  What a bunch of crap.

    The whole coins thing is super shady. Those same coins can also be used to scout opponents in online games. So if you're willing to spend real world money you can give yourself a leg up in fake football. What a joke. I wonder how many people will actually fall for this.

    @Oncomouse:
    It doesn't matter to them, if 50 people buy it then that is more money than if they give it away for free the way they should.  This is one of the reason that I didn't buy it for only the second time in the last 6 or 7 years.  Along with the shutting servers down too soon to force you to buy a new one.

    Who cares? If people want to buy shit, they'll buy shit. And then people like me will exploit them on the Ultimate Team auction house. =P

    It is a brilliant money making scheme for EA, thats for sure. Some suckers definitely fall for it. I do love the Ultimate Team mode though. After playing through a few seasons, franchise mode gets old. This makes me way more likely to play Madden after January.
