    Overview

    This is the 2014 version of EA's long standing football simulation franchise. This year's version marks the second time the franchise was released on the Xbox One and PS4, but it's still being released on the previous generation's platforms.

    Seattle Seahawks cornerback RIchard Sherman is the cover athlete after winning a fan vote via ESPN.

    Ray Rice Removal

    In early September, EA Sports announced that running back Ray Rice would be removed in the following tuning update to the game, removing him from the roster and making him unavailable in the free agency. This was a response to the Ray Rice incident involving domestic violence which led to Rice's dismissal from the Baltimore Ravens and his suspension from the NFL.
