    The main character of Yume Nikki, and its reimagining, Yume Nikki: Dream Diary.

    Though there is not much official information about Madotsuki, many things can be inferred by paying attention to what appears in their dreams. As such, this has caused many fans to speculate about the character, the state of their mental health, and what happened prior to the events of the games. Yume Nikki's active fan communities have come up with many theories, based on events, locations, and characters that appear in the expensive and bizarre dreamscape Madotsuki explores.
