Call me sentimental, but I love it when video game marketing and PR get into the holiday spirit. That kind of silly earnestness hits a sweet spot for me just between endearing and cheesy.

For instance, there's this new MadWorld holiday trailer Sega just released. Sadly, this one's censored, though an uncensored version for Europe is promised next week sometime.

Those holiday verses remind me of what Atlus writes up for its games, except, you know, way more psychotic.

im certainly getting more interested in this game.  Im in the same boat; i havent turned on my wii for much at all recently.  Hopefully this will change that.

This game doesn't really look appealing to me at all, although I will admit it's art style is pretty interesting. I'll have to see when it comes out. I probably won't be turning on my Wii till then :P Next gen - I don't think I'll be buying any Nintendo consoles/handhelds =/

This is one of those games that's actually gonna get me to buy a Wii. No More Heroes was the first, but I got my fill of that one for an hour and moved on.

Still not looking forward to the game, as it looks like one of those Dreamcast games that I would get super psyched over, only to find out that the appeal only lasts about 30 minutes.  =  /

The only thing i am left to wonder is how it will control, if they make it like no more heroes it would be perfect.

However, the more I learn about this game the less interested I am in it.
I may still buy it to support 'new & different' games, though I'm not seeing a lot of new & different in the actual gameplay.

one big problem was with what IGN had to say about the last time MadWorld was demoed...the problem being that it's was basically mindless waggle controls.  i'm seriously hoping that's because it's still early on in development, because wii desperately needs some good games.  just because certain games (e.g. Wii Fit -_- ) are selling well doesn't mean they are good.  i just hope Platinum Games pulls through on this.

and i doubt anyone who owns a 360 will want to get into this game...they already have gears 1 and 2 to fall back on.

AWESOME trailer! I am very excited for this game and can't wait to see how it pans out.
