Magicka after all the patches, is it safe to buy now?

Just wondering if Magicka has gotten more ironed out by now. I heard a lot of good things about the game and i loved the demo, but for all the good things people have said, there is a equal amount of bad things that has followed. Most of which has been performance issues, online lag and so on.

Steam was patching it yesterday, so obviously something's still not working right. If I could go back and 'unbuy' it, I would. Shipping a game that busted is just wrong.

Had some issues with it at the start, but I've almost beat it now and haven't experienced any more problems with it, other than the lack of antialiasing. Looks like their patches have covered the vast majority of issues, since I don't see much people complaining anymore.

Hell no.

It was worth buying when it was still buggy as hell. So yes, doubly so now.

The only bug that made it unplayable to me was the fact that the subtitles didn't work for the ones that wasn't the host.
With that fixed, I'd say go for it.

Guess you could force AA through your driver. I did that on Mass Effect 2 so i'm guessing it should also be doable in Magicka.

When i heard people talk on podcasts about the game that was the general sense i got from most people who played it.

And that seems like a pretty minor bug to me. So yeah i think i might just go ahead and get it later today.

Thanks for your input guys.

i didn't even encounter that many bugs when i played through it, and there have been like 4 patches since then.

all i got were 2 crashes to desktop when stacking up a ton of grease spells and then laying fire mines inside of it

Playing it co-op was one of my reasons for getting it, so that sounds pretty damn sweet.

Funny, i just read this on Steam in the game update section.

"   You can now play as the Mea Culpa wizard, wielding a powerful  The bug  staff and the less powerful Broken Sword. A new magick in the same theme has also been added... the unholy Crash to Desktop . "

Oh believe me, I tried. You get edge artifacts no matter which AA method or bitflag you use.
