    Overview

Maik Heinzig is a German video game executive who has worked in the industry for nearly 30 years. His first game release was Barkanoid in 1984.  He was responsible for nearly every aspect of the game on each platform it was released, but this was just the start of his career. From 1984 to 1989 he was involved in developing a variety of games for the Atari consoles.

The following two years were occupied with development of an unreleased Commodore Amiga game. After that unsuccessful venture, he worked to release a variety of educational programs, and was not as involved in developing video games.

From 1997 to the present day, Maik Heinzig has been involved in developing a variety of games, primarily on the PC. He currently works with Magnussoft Deutschland GmbH as project manager and conceptual designer.
