McDowell is an actor who, while perhaps best known for his characters on the big screen, has done much voice work for video games. Probably his most famous work is President Eden in Fallout 3. He's also appeared in WET, where he plays antagonist Mr. Ackers, lent his voice as Daedalus in God of War 3 plays one of the main antagonists in the 2011 game Killzone 3, Jorhan Stahl.
