Manny Calavera

Manny Calavera is the protagonist of the game Grim Fandango. He is travel agent for the Department of Death in the Land of the Dead.

Manny Calavera is a dead soul in the Land of the Dead, and he would like to get into the land of eternal rest. Unfortunately, because of his imperfect life, he has to work some time before he can get into it. He works in the Department of Death as a reaper and his job is to try to find travel packages for people new to the land of the dead.

Trivia

Manny is rivals with his co-worker Domino Hurley at the Department of Death

He is short, and uses stilts with his reaper costume to give himself extra height.
He has three distinctive triangles on the back and the front of his head.
When he was at the last Department of Death christmas party, he got in a fight with Domino Hurley and was knocked out
Manny makes a cameo appearance in The Curse of Monkey Island as a dead pirate in Blondebeard's Chicken Shoppe on Plunder Island. When touched, a button falls off his hat that reads 'Ask me about Grim Fandango.'
Manny is seen in "Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace". sitting in the stands with the crowds during the pod race at the far right.
Manny is also seen in" The Secret Of Monkey Island: Special Edition" during the first cut scene where it show's Le Chuck's ship in hell and before the camera switched to the inside of the ship. In the foreground there are two strips of rocks, one of them has the image of Manny along with other skulls.
