    Mari and Kaido are on a hunt for the demon who killed Kaido's brother, which is later to be revealed as a vampire named Kudlak.

    Mari forms a contract with Kresnik, who is also on a hunt for Kudlak. Together, they worked a method to defeat the otherwise immortal Kudlak. The protagonist can choose to help Mari defeat Kudlak and recruit her later in the game.
