    Overview

The Mario Discovery Series are five games released on the NES, SNES and PC that feature characters from the Mario universe. The goal of these games is to be educational, providing younger players with knowledge about geography, human history and elementary maths and English.

    • Mario is Missing! is the first and most prominent game in this series. It features Luigi in a starring role as he follows Bowser across the globe in order to find his brother Mario. Most of the game involves solving geography riddles to track Mario down.
    • Mario's Time Machine stars Mario as he attempts to recover artifacts stolen from across history and return them to their correct time periods. The game had both SNES and NES versions with subtle differences.
    • Mario's Early Years are three games meant for a very young audience. Fun with Numbers teaches basic arithmetic, while Fun with Letters teaches the alphabet and basic vocabulary and spelling. Preschool Fun is a mini-game collection.
