Mario Kart has a wide variety of characters, do you have a particular favourite?

Mine is and always has been Toad, love that little mushroom head.

Yoshi or Diddy Kong

Stop it Hizang you're making me blush.

Yoshi is the king of Mario Kart.

Yoshi all the way.

Luigi has never done me wrong.

On a side note, I am playing Super Mario Kart right now, my dad came in and said.

"This game is shit, why don't you play Mario Kart Wii or something!"

Parents really don't get it..

any of the small dudes really

It's always a mad dash to Yoshi, my childhood favorite, so I eventually decided that he (she?) is not worth the effort. I started using Wario and I do fine with him. Although doing some research, Peach might be a more appropriate replacement.

Toad. Always Toad.

Yoshi dog. He is all green and all fast.

This. Or Princess Peach.

Luigi. Decent acceleration and great top speed. He's light, so he gets shoved around in a pack, but if I'm ahead by enough that doesn't matter until you get blue-shelled.

Don't know if that applies to older Kart titles, though. Did they have individual stats, or was it just a cosmetic change?

Rosaline or Baby Peach. Little Peach get's wrecked too often so I sometimes switch to Rosaline. I just want to go fast, mang.

I generally go with Yoshi in all Mario games.

I don't use many racers other than Luigi, but when I need something different for a specific track, I always use Yoshi.

Stay racing, my friends.

Bowser, Donkey Kong or Wario. Gotta love dem villains.

Haven't play since 64 but I liked the heavy bruising racers.

One more vote for Toad, and that goes for any Mario spin off series. Don't really know why other than he seems like a funguy (ba-dum tish)

#23 Posted by Vextroid (1429 posts) -

Luigi. Always Luigi.

I'm a fan of the Light Weight class of characters. I enjoy a very fast acceleration. In Mario Kart 7 I usually use Toad because of this.

I don't always play Mario Kart, but when I do I play as Luigi.

They just don't understand. Also, always Yoshi.

Koopa Troops are always the best, if there is no Koopa Troop then I opt for Wario.
I wish they would bring back Dry Bones, he was the bester.

#29 Posted by advocatefish (362 posts) -

I didn't think it would be a land slide in favor of small guys. Me too Toad or Yoshi.

#30 Posted by TaliciaDragonsong (8606 posts) -

Yoshi, Koopa (the little green dude, not Bowser) or Waluigi.
I loved pairing King boo and Waluigi in Double Dash.

#31 Posted by Jolt92 (1579 posts) -

I usually go with Yoshi. My girlfriend always picks Toad!

So this is kinda cool.

Totally forgot about Pac-Man.

#35 Posted by RandomInternetUser (6789 posts) -

Yoshi and Toad were always my favorites, followed by Luigi.

#36 Posted by _Chad (960 posts) -

Luigi is pretty baller.

#37 Posted by SamStrife (1286 posts) -

Always use a type of turtle. Koopa/Paraoopatroopa in Double Dash. Dry Bones in DS, or Wii (although I never play Wii). Koopatroopa in the SNES version. Bowser in the 64 version.

#38 Posted by Landon (4164 posts) -

Mario. Or Luigi if I'm feeling adventurous.

Yoshi. Every other answer is invalid.

#41 Posted by Soap (3642 posts) -

I follow the same rule with Mario Kart as I do with Super Smash and that is Luigi is the only way to go

#42 Posted by Cyrus_Saren (540 posts) -

Yoshi all the way.

#43 Posted by 49th (2845 posts) -

Luigi for speed, Bowser for being a dick and ramming people off the stage.

#44 Posted by Sgtpierceface (645 posts) -

Yoshi for me.

#45 Posted by Sweep (8976 posts) -

Bowser. Fuck yeah.

#46 Posted by impartialgecko (1686 posts) -

Mario. Because it's his damn series

Mama Luigi!

Wait a second, no one is gonna say anything about "I love that little mushroom head"

Oh, ok, so I'm the only one who needs to grow up!?

I am disappoint.

#48 Posted by buft (3320 posts) -

Yoshi, love his middle of the road stats, not too slow but with decent acceleration

#49 Posted by FLStyle (4919 posts) -

Wario time!

Donkey Kong!
