9 seemed like a game I'd play. 10 was over way too soon. The rest were nightmares.

Mario Party Party 5: Bombduders Live was the pinnacle of the series. 9 and 10 are actual games that respect the players time, which should not be allowed.

Mario Party Party 8 simply due to the ending. I don't remember the last time I laughed so hard during a GB video. I'm convinced that shit is scripted.

I think 5 is pretty easily the winner for best video in general because of the live setting. But for non-live ones I'd say 2 was my favorite.

I need to rewatch them to be sure, but I'd say 1. 5 gets bonus points for being live though.

Three or four, the one with oreos and nacho cheese and they really started ganging up on Dan because he claimed it's a game of skill and Brad wins even though he wasn't even trying.

@utterances: Mmm, great point about the nacho cheese. A milestone, to be sure, in Mario Party Partying. That was around the time it got pretty awkward in the late games though. They seemed to get over the fact that they would have to play all these games sometime after the live show.

The live Party was the best Party, and the other parties didn't feel like parties once the gross snacks and drinks were taken away - it was just dudes on a couch playing a bad game for 4 hours. Of course I was still super entertained, snacks or no.

Live party for sure. Dan makes a very good heel and Drew won!

edit: I just realized you're not talking about the games, but the videos themselves. In that case, whichever one they did live. That was a good time with the crowd.

@dafdiego777: I remember people saying the audience yelling stuff out ruined that one, but all the cringe shout outs were worth it, to me, for when Dan asked the crowd "why are you cheering for Drew?" and then someone yelled out "pure of heart".

I still wish every non-Dan player had colluded to always target Dan with every negative effect possible and ruin his time with the video series, but alas, a lot of them (especially Brad) were really terrible at paying attention to where they should go on the board/item management. What a missed opportunity.

Anyway, I'd vote for whichever N64 one ended with Jeff ripping the cart out of the N64, or the part where Drew just left the couch and tagged Jason in, then Drew repeatedly called the game "garbage" along with various pictures of garbage. Barring actually being able to remember that one, I voted Mario Party 5 because the live audience gave it a certain energy.

Mario Party Party 5 has the best story, even if it had somewhat reduced sound quality. It had the part where Dan tells everyone to get in the same pot, only to betray them and everyone gets burned but him. Also Dan doesn't win and instead the one everyone likes and was cheering for did. It was the pinnacle of the series series.

10 because of its merciful brevity and the defeat of the clown prince.

My ranking of Mario Party Parties probably goes something like this:

2, 4, 1, 7, 5, 3, 8, 9, 10, 6

1, 2, and 4 were pretty great because they weren't totally burned out on the idea yet, and some funny stuff pretty regularly came out of them. 3 gave us DMX Goomba but otherwise everyone involved seemed to really hate it, largely because of the map. I didn't like 5 as much as a lot of people because the crowd yells got annoying after a while, and 6 was just a drag for fairly obvious reasons. 9 and 10 were pretty enjoyable, honestly, but too short to be particularly memorable for better or worse.

I would legitimately watch MPP5 again, it was so entertaining. The energy made it one of my favorite pieces of GB content I've watched, yet.

It's like Mario Kart: your first one is the best one.

I like that, notwithstanding 5, the poll is parabolic. One and ten are about even, and it gently curves between them.

MPP3 is a grossly underappreciated one, IMO.

Got to be there in person for 5. Started a "Yes" chant near the end. I have no option but to vote 5.

The MPP was always something I kept on in the background while working. And, they are such shitty games that they all kind of run together in my mind.

Five is the winner because it's consistently funny. They are performing for, and responding to the audience. There's a hero and a villain, and it ends amazingly. 6, 7 and 8 were boring after that, with 6 being particularly boring and 7 being ear-piercingly painful.

Being part of the crowd in 5 was something else and easily makes it the best for me. Though I agree with @tactfulogre that 3 is definitely underappreciated. 6 and 7 were some of Giant Bombs darkest hours of content.

Side note: I can't believe I actually fucking watched them all though.

That's the one Brad won. It was perfect because that was the one where Dan said "if I win, it'll prove once and for all that this is a game of skill" and then he came in last. (Largely because the other guys all teamed up on him, but he deserved it.)

5 was the live one, right? That one went super well, with the crowd hyping everything up and even ended perfectly in the most "Mario Party" fashion possible.

There's no way the live Mario Party Party 5 should have worked as well as it did, but it was really fun to watch and the audience made it.

5 was something special.

When they first realized that everything would get cheered or booed, it took the storytelling to a whole new level. Of fucking Mario Party Party.

I'm gonna estimate that Brad spending added at least 2 hours to the total length of the series by starting every single one of his turns by examining the items were in his inventory for a bit, then not using them and just rolling the dice.

I loved it. Then when he did it again on the next turn I would hate it. Then on the next turn I loved it again.

So yeah, the inability of anyone other than Dan to fully utilize items is probably what bugged me most about 6/7/8, because that and the Mario Party RNG seeming to really be working in his favor are what ultimately led to Dan winning all those. And really wanted Dan to lose!

5 was the most entertaining. 7 is the best video game, because it is the most skill based which is why dan killed everyone and it was boring content. 10 was by far the worst. They played four mini games. FOUR!!

Just went back to watch 4, I can't believe how long these actually took to make... This video is a full year and a half old. Feels way more recent than that.

The best party is the one where everyone suffers the most.

5 was incredible all around. 8 had the funniest moment with the Wiimote wanking and everybody losing their shit.

Outside of specific moments, the rest (barring 9 and 10) honestly kind of run together in my memory. I remember one of the early ones being a bit uncomfortable to watch, with Drew seemingly getting legitimately angry and nobody really saying much after a while. 4, maybe? Everybody just seemed to be in a bad mood that day.

I think that might have been 6, because it was a long wait from the live one 5 and I was excited to get another and was treated with genuine anger and malaise.

I liked 5 because they were playing to the crowd and the game had a weird energy about it, but I love the ending of 4, when Dan has gone on and on about Mario Party being a game of skill, and he ends up last. I also think it's the closest, as anyone one them could've if the bonus stars turned out different.

I do think GBEast needs to play at least one Mario Party, speaking of. I really want to see how Vinny handles the ol' 50-turner.

Definitely 5. The live audience added a TON of extra energy, and it has the best overall flow. Dan gets his lead, but then Drew comes from behind.

And it has that moment where Donkey Kong beats up Bowser.
