Did anyone else think the main character was called Mark?

I thought this for the vast majority of the game, and the title was a clever Double Entendré referencing Mark, the titular character and his marks, the source of his superhuman power. It was only whne I refered to him as Mark to a friend, They were all "Phbbblt, WHAT?!"

It hasn't stopped me calling him Mark, either, as "nameless Hisomu ninja" is an unweildy title.

No, that's silly. But I get your point, still a ninja named Mark is silly.

Yeah, I totally did the same thing. I think it adds something to the fiction of the game. Something stupid. Which is great!

I jokingly called him Mark, but I knew it wasn't his real name.

A school friend of mine was once reading a copy of auto trader and referred to the "top marques" section as "top marquiees". The shit he got after that mistake.

My buddy and I kept referring to him and the game as Mark Ninjaman.

Yeah, didn't Vinny make that joke during the Quick Look, except he was clearly joking, because if that was really the character's name, then "Mark of the Ninja" would be the worst pun ever?

I'm incredibly disappointed by the fact that the ninja you mentioned wasn't Joe Musashi.

Musashi actually looks kinda badass, though. Joe Hayabusa looks like a doofus so the weird ninja name suits him. plus, i'm a huge Ninja Gaiden fan so it was kind of natural for a Hayabusa name to come to my head first.

I'm more familiarized with Musashi than with Hayabusa, and even though i played Ninja Gaiden, i didn't know Joe was a ninja. Damn.
