Mark of the Ninja out on Steam today?

#1 Posted by BisonHero (3413 posts) - 8 months, 2 days ago

The blog for the game says it is supposedly coming out on Steam today, but so far, it isn't out yet, nor does it appear anywhere in the "coming soon" tab of the store. I can't wait to get it, so anybody have any idea why Steam is giving zero indication they've heard of the game?

You never see a ninja until it is too late.

I was wondering the same thing. I checked Steam yesterday and saw nothing there.. If it says on their blog it's coming today then I dunno why it wouldn't be.

I can't find anything on Steam about it, but the headlines for MotN's PC release are pretty funny:

Mark of the Ninja creeps onto Steam
Mark of the Ninja Infiltrates Steam
Mark Of The Ninja Sneaks Onto Steam
Mark of the Ninja Slinks to Steam
"Mark of The Ninja" Lurks Hard onto Steam

It's stealthing too well because no one can find it.

This actually happens quite a lot on steam. They are pretty good at promoting indie stuff once it is out but unless you have a publisher pushing for it, they often don't even have a placeholder for the game until they finally decide to put it up.

About as funny as reading your thesaurus.

Just announced it coming to Steam and then it shows up on Steam.

Gotta love the guys at Klei for their quick turnaround.

It's out AND it has a Giant Bomb quote on the store page.

@MattyFTM: Has GB made it to any other store pages? That was awesome to see.

Nice, this was much faster than the Shank release. I'm kind of surprised they weren't required to observe Microsoft's XBLA exclusivity agreement. Was that an apology prize for not being part of Summer of Arcade?

Holy crap I had no idea! I just saw patch notes on the Steam news page and was super confused. I had heard it as coming to PC but thought it would be way later.

Cool I guess, too bad it got no mention anywhere that I saw and I like to think that I keep up with the gaming press pretty well.
