Hey duders,
So, as I grow ever more excited about this awesome looking games, I've started thinking about buying a fightstick. The nice MVC 3 tournament edition one to be precise.
I'll be importing it from the US and I wanted to know if the stick was going to work with my french 360 and my french version of the game.
Thanks for the help :)

A Question about Fightsticks
here is your MvC3 stick, announced today. Limited to 5000units MAdcatz says, split between 360 and ps3 (so 2500 each)" @Rhaknar: yeah just checked your right the art still makes it a worthwhile purchase though "
looks like a tournament edition round 2 stick with mvc3 art
" @Rhaknar: doesn't really look as awesome as the other one im just here for the art so i'll probably go with the other one "fair enough. this one doesnt even seem to be available in europe (sigh), at least amazon has no mention of it yet... then again they dont have the mvc2 one either.
There is the "story" on the new one, the one you want IS from MvC2 being released on PSN.
HOWEVER, you should buy whichever is cheapest because you can always do your own art and customize the buttons. I started with this:
and this is how it looks now....
Here is how to do it: http://shoryuken.com/f177/how-add-custom-art-your-te-fightstick-swap-simple-options-186905/#post6546819
And Here is where I got the Art and Plexi from to remove the red plastic on the outside: http://www.tek-innovations.com/arthobbies/?loc=products
Here is where to buy the buttons, tops, and circle gate (if you are used to US arcades) and so forth from: http://akihabarashop.jp/
Lol, thanks, it is VERY VERY Easy to do. Buy one of the older ones for much cheaper and just mod it, and it STILL won't be the price of the retail on the newer ones. Should cost around 15-20 dollars for the buttons, circle gate, etc. and around 20 or 30 for the plexi and art (20 for plexi-extended and 10 for art).
I should still have the art files if you want it. Heh, MvC FTW!
No, on the old one, there is no plexi. So what happens is you remove the plastic "art" and replace it with a plexi so that the buttons will still fit. I can and still have the old one, but I would imagine it is easier to get a pic of the original art and print it rather then deal with the adhesive and so forth.
You can see it here: http://www.ziptied.com/Coppermine/albums/userpics/10489/TEstick9.jpg
Why not? Just get a plexi from Art's Mods for 20 bucks, 18 if you still want to use the red plastic outline (you can spraypaint it), and it is easy to do. Also, you can have you name in the plexi so your know for SURE which stick is yours.

I understand not wanting to pay for shipping, but don't they have plexiglass in other places besides the US?
You can buy some plexiglass, take it to any hardware store or find a shop and do it yourself. Just print out the template, available from madcatz or from art's website and you can use that to cut the art as well as the plexi. Most shops will do this for a very very low fee. and it will save you shipping and so forth.

I like this one a lot. I wish i would have got it rather than the standard TE.
If you use a template or Art's website you can make one, that is the same stick with what is called "Full Plexi" where the plastic is across the entire top surface rather then up to the screwholes. As you can see, or maybe didn't, the screwholes are in the same place, the image is just extended.
