Turns out you’ll be able to fight against the best without having to work your way up an online ladder in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Earlier today, Capcom announced “Shadow Mode,” a series of downloadable content releases for the game that will pit you against a team of AI-controlled brawlers whose technique and move preferences are based on actual real-world competitors.
The first Shadow Mode pack will include the personalities of the game’s producer Ryota Niitsuma, assistant producer Akihito Kadowaki, and an unnamed “QA team leader.” According to a recent Capcom blog posting future packs will contain personalities of people you may “already know.” There's no word yet how much these downloads will cost you, if anything.
Here are some screens! Oh, and by the way, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 debuts on the Xbox 360 and PS3 on Feb. 15, 2011. Just a few more days!

Just like I said in this thread, I think this is useless. And again, I believe this is paid DLC so it's even more stupid.
I hope Yipes comes through with a special feature in which you can hear him trash-talking you every waking second of playing.
I wonder if they will be able to do this for other players too. They have that player card thing that records data. Maybe they will be able to build ghosts of your friends, like Dissidia does.
This game comes out so soon and I still feel like I don't know shit about it (other then the roster). I have no idea what the online portion of this game is going to be like. I need a quicklook asap!
Edit: Read the wiki page on this site and I feel a little better, but I want to know if there is going to be a lobby system like MvsC 2 where you can spectate?
I don't understand why this is DLC. Considering that console fighting games usually lack "stuff to do", they should be putting as much as they can on the disc.
I think that that Jill Valentine, Shuma Gorath, The Shadow Mode & the alternate costumes should be in 1 DLC pack rather than seperate packs for each addition, because it would be pointless to buy each one seperatly for 400 Microsoft Points. Maybe capcom will decide to release them as a bundle for 800 Points otherwise its a waste of money. I:V'

" cool if free "Yeah, IF it's free.
I'm not going to pay for it, that's for sure.
this is free btw
Shadow Mode- Available March 1st, 2011
- The first Shadow Mode pack will include teams and AI from three Capcom staff members, including producer Ryota Niitsuma, associate producer Akihito Kadowaki, and a QA tester.
- The first pack is scheduled for release on March 1st, 2011. This shadow mode pack is FREE. If you ever wanted to say you beat the producer of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 at his own game, this is your best shot.
More packs becoming available for download at a later date
