    Any downside to playing on the lowest difficulty?

    So I messed up my current save and wont be able to save Kelly Chambers. I really want to save her, so I decided to restart the game. I was playing on Insanity so I wanted to know if I would miss out on upgrades/XP/weapons/missions etc if I played on the lowest difficulty?

    i know you get the Geth Pulse Rifle if you play on Hardcore in that Tali mission, BUT I play a Vanguard so I dont even need that rifle, and my squad gets the Mattock Rifle anyways.

    Will it affect the story in ME2 or ME3 in any way?
