Mass Effect 2
Game » consists of 21 releases. Released Jan 26, 2010
After a violent death by an unknown force and a timely reanimation by the human supremacist organization Cerberus, Commander Shepard must assemble a new squad in the seedier side of the galaxy for a suicide mission in the second installment of the "Mass Effect" trilogy.
"Arrival" DLC... *ahem* Arrives on March 29th
The DLC "Arrival" will be available on the Xbox Live, PSN, and Bioware.com for $7. The story of the DLC sends Sheppard and crew to the outer regions of the galaxy to find an undercover operative that may have information on the imminent Reaper invasion. Also, Admiral Hackett will have a voice over at some point (hopefully we'll actually see him this time)
The last I heard was Cerberus Network would be on hiatus until the next DLC arrived (this) and that would be it. But that was a few months ago and I've been following other games more closely, so there may be one more that I hadn't heard about.
The ''final'' ME2 mission they said? Would be a shame if it's true, but there's been plenty of stellar DLC before hand, anywhoo, so the game at least had no shortage through its run. Great to see, or at least hear, Lance Hendrickson again! His omission in Mass Effect 2 was easy to notice, with not even a cameo above receiving a couple of emails.
I thought the big final DLC would be more of a post-game expansion, but since Arrival is priced at 560MS points... hmmm dunno.
Hmm.. not what I expected. Yet... It works. Fits his voice. Though he really need to loose the hat." @Abyssfull said:

Here he is. "
Either way I'm ten times as stoked for this DLC now.
I'm pretty sure that when BioWare was talking about two DLC expansions to link ME2 and ME3, they were including Shadow Broker in that, since it's set after the suicide mission and everything. Arrival is the last planned DLC, as far as I know.
Pretty stoked about this - honestly wasn't expecting it so soon, for some reason.
Was already a must-buy for me, but this is just another reason to add to the list. I always wanted to see Hackett since Mass Effect 1" @Abyssfull said:

EDIT: And surprisingly, that's not too far off from what I imagined he would look like..
...he looks like Zaeed just with a few extra decades stacked on him." @Abyssfull said:

There is a resemblance, without a doubt. But then again we haven't seen many old and battle hardened humans so it's easy to see resemblances when many Mass Effect models look similar in general.
Perfect timing. Just decided to go back and replay Mass Effect 2 for a 3rd and 4th time. All this Dragon Age II business made me yearn for more excellent BioWare-ness.
I'm looking forward to this, I even recently bought some MS points for cheap in preparation (also to get Undead Nightmare) I'm kind of surprised at the 560 point price tag though, I was hoping it would be the same length as Shadow Broker at least which was 800. I know the other dlcs were around that price but I never played them so maybe the price of the content doesn't have any relation to the length.
If this is the final DLC that's a pretty huge gap between now and the release of ME3 sometime this fall. I'm pumped though and can't wait to get some official news from Bioware.
" Could somebody fill me in on Admiral Hackett? The name doesn't ring much bells. "If you remember the side quests in ME 1 where you were sent out to various Cerberus facilities and usually found Alliance soldiers turned to husks? Hackett is the man who sent you on those quests.
" Could somebody fill me in on Admiral Hackett? The name doesn't ring much bells. "Does the words "Thank you, Commander. Fifth Fleet Out." from the first Mass Effect sound familiar?
That's him.
I'm guessing Ashley or Kaiden (Depending who's life you sacrificed) will also make an appearance in Arrival. Glad this is coming soon, but I hope it's actually worth the money unlike Kasumi's Stolen Memory. Don't get me wrong, Kasumi's Stolen Memory was a good side mission and I like Kasumi, but it was too short to justify the seven dollar price tag.
" @Abyssfull said:No fuckin' shit. I think I said this as well in some of" @PhatSeeJay said:This. "" Oooo Admiral Hacket! Wonder if he'll make a physical appearance or only by voice as usual.
