    I played some ME2 yesterday and I kept going back to locations just to hear the music again, something I have never done in a game before. Some songs do have elements of the Firefly/Serenity soundtrack and feel almost breathtaking to me.

    Is it just me who thinks that it can't get any better?

    God, I love this game.

    Hmm, good music indeed, ME1 had a more spacey feel but ME2 was certainly a plus in the music section.
    Subtle at times, but always there.

    The Mass Effect 2 soundtrack is amazing, the DLC pieces are even better in some cases (LotSB & Overlord). I have to say though that I preferred the Mass Effect soundtrack to the sequel's. It felt more original and Sci-Fi. Still, both great soundtracks to great games.

    It was alright. The Club Afterlife song was the highlight though.

    I was actually a little disappointed in the ME2 soundtrack because It stepped away from the uber scifi feel of ME1, whose soundtrack I thought was thuperdope.

    Yeah, the song in Afterlife was the only part which I really thought was worth mentioning really. Not that everything else was bad; it was just that the Afterlife song gave the club a lot more atmosphere than the club back in the citadel in the original game. That and it was just really good to listen to.

    Edit: okay, there were some songs during the final missions which were okay iirc, and the credits theme was also really good. Otherwise though I don't think the soundtrack overall was especially spectacular.

    @TaliciaDragonsong & @Wipeout:  I haven't played the first Mass Effect (yet) so I can't really tell.

    @TheSeductiveMoose: Did you like the game? I think the music is a huge part of the atmosphere of any game and pretty much decides whether I can "love" a game or not.

    yup it was very nightclub-ish and boring... neither spacey like the first ME nor.. symphonic and epic like AC2 for example

    Yesss!  I want to say there was at least one other game with a killer soundtrack this year, but I can't really remember.
