does anyone actually use the default shepard?
i'll admit i always tweak my female shepard to suit my tastes but i always use the default male shepard. i just find that he animates better and suits the voice in my opinion. anyone else feel the same?
Shepard default was the only way to go on ME1- i was unable to make a custom that looked anything other than fucking terrible, So i just carried on rolling with him on ME2 - may make a lady shepard at some point tho
While I used custom Shepards in Mass Effect, I have used the default Shepard so far in Mass Effect 2.
I can't play as default Shepard. It doesn't seem right. I'm so used to my custom dude that it just seems wrong for that voice to come from anyone else.
I like playing with the default character for the most part. So, yes, I played with the default Shepard.
I tried making a custom one for the first game but my friend said he looked like 'a chinaman with downs syndrome' so I went for the default on ME2 and he looks so much better.
As with Dragon Age, I got a custom dude who kinda resembles myself, but for the love of god I couldn't create a decent looking female Shepard so I picked the default one.
Default Shepard is modelled after a real person so he looks more real than any other male character in the game. Default Femshep is ugly though, I went to a website with a bunch of attractive female Shepard codes cause I suck with the character creator.
I can't make a custom Shepard that doesn't look, in some way, handicapped. Besides, when I hear that voice, I think default Shepard anyhow.
Like the OP I use a custom She-Shep and the default He-Shep can't really say why, I would love it if you could just edit DefaultShep's hair and beard :/
I had a custom Shepard in ME1... imported it to ME2, saw how messed-up looking it was, and instantly changed to the default (male) Shepard.
Customized Shepard=Preset Shepard. They look identical or retarded, and to me he looks ok for what he represents.
I used a custom male Shepard in the first one, he was pale and had a big nose. Fugly is flattering. So when I started the second one I changed it to default, and for the first few hours it was realy weird hearing a different not so ugly Shepard talk down to Salarians, but after 20 or so hours i'm totally in with it.
I've never used the default Shepard. Any time I have the option to make a custom character I go with that option.
I used a custom for my first (and only) playthrough, and he kinda ended up looking like a cross between myself and Tom Hanks. Let's just say watching some of those renegade dialogue choices was uncomfortable/hilarious, and I just felt embarrassed while flirting with Tali.
Second playthrough I will be doing default. I only anticipate slight delay in enjoyment due to dealing with same voice coming from different head.
" I do. Never even tried to customize him. That's Shepard. "My thoughts as well. Shepard's model is how that game is supposed to be played.@XII_Sniper said:
" Nah, the whole point is to make your OWN Shepard, so I do custom always. "See I disagree, I think that's more of an option than the way to play.
