1st time = Male Soldier; 2nd time = Female Infiltrator
Working through the ME1 again as a Female soldier, when I import her into ME2, probably going to play as an adept.
Mass Effect 2
Game » consists of 21 releases. Released Jan 26, 2010
After a violent death by an unknown force and a timely reanimation by the human supremacist organization Cerberus, Commander Shepard must assemble a new squad in the seedier side of the galaxy for a suicide mission in the second installment of the "Mass Effect" trilogy.
How many times have you completed Mass Effect 2?
Once for me. I planned two or more playthroughs but i beat it in pretty much two sittings doing all the loyalty missions and almost all of the side stuff, mineral mining included. After that I just felt so burnt out on the experience that I could never bring myself to pick it back up. Probably won't for a long, long time either.
Thrice at least. One as soldier, one as pure biotic (that was awesome), and one as infiltrator on insanity. Planning on a fourth after I redo a ME1 playthrough with a different universe state, as a different class from the mentioned three.
I made it about halfway through my first playthrough before i lost interest. I dont know whats wrong with me.
Twice as usual. One time fluffy-shiny hero, one time psychotic suicidal bitch. I was thinking about a third "in between" play-through by never using the red/blue dialog options and balancing the regular ones. Maybe I should do that soon, just to see how it goes. It has been a while …
Generic male Shepard- soilder continued from ME1 mostly good
Custom lady Shepard- vanguard started from scratch all paragon
I may do one more playthrough as a sentinel or another class
Once was enough to be honest. Good game but far too long for a second playthrough - I have other games to play and...well, there is work lol
Somewhere between 4-7 times.
Probably closer to 4-5, maybe just 4. My memory sucks.
My first as always was my personal canon "paragon soldier"
Second was full renegade
My final was on insanity
I know I did between 2-3 for more achievements but I never remember if I'm recalling ME1 or ME2
because I played ME1 around 8-9 times for all the achievements
Three times I think... Some day before I get ME3 I'll finish my fourth playthrough to finish off my proper pick of consequences for the last installment.
...Still considering deliberately killing off some of the more annoying characters, just in case, but I'm not sure I will follow through on that...
Only twice so far. Working on making it THRICE.
Import paragon male Shep Soldier on Veteran. (slighly imperfect ending)
Import paragon male Shep Vanguard on Harcore. (perfect ending)
Currently playing non-imported Renegade femShep Infiltrator on Insanity.
Realising that Jennifer Hale is, in fact, awesome, I have gone back and played ME1 a fifth time to bring a femShep through.
I don't have a Mass Effect problem. I can quit any time I want.
What the hell is wrong with you people?
Once. That's the save I want to carry over into ME3, warts and all, even if I would go back and change some things.
Going back and molding everything into what I want the state of the universe to be seems like it would cheapen many of the tough choices I had to make.
I don't want to ruin the magic.
Also, the game is a third-person shooter that isn't good enough to warrant making me want to play through again based solely on gameplay alone.
" @FluxWaveZ: More transparency in the story, specifically choices and their impacts= less immersion in the story from me. "Sure, but you were talking as if those who play through the game again are making their initial playthrough irrelevant for the sake of the new one.
" @yinstarrunner said:Didn't mean to make it sound like all players do that, but some people certainly do. Especially if they lose people on the suicide mission that they want to see alive in ME3, which I know doesn't require a full playthrough, but whatever. I would still feel like I was cheating things if I went back and changed that in my game. It's a feeling that's hard for me to express." @FluxWaveZ: More transparency in the story, specifically choices and their impacts= less immersion in the story from me. Once. Haven't felt compelled to play it a second time.

" @yinstarrunner: Oh, I definitely understand that. I feel like dismissing the choices you made or the events that happened during your character's story simply because one's not happy with what happened does a disservice to one's own experience. "
I want to see the content. And in usual Bioware style, content is only unlocked if a person is alive. If someone dies, there is no branching path that explores that alternative, there is just nothing there. Of course that is giving Bioware too much credit on exactly what carries over between games, but there is only things lost when one carries over a save with dead companions to me.
All in order.
Infiltrator - Main run, paragon, Male, Tali relationship
Sentinel - paragon, female, Garrus relationship
Vanguard - renegade, male, poked Sha'ira, Liara, Jack, and Miranda
Adept - renegade, female, slept with Sha'ira, Liara, and Jacob
Soldier - bi-polar (Renegade in ME1, Paragon in ME2, planned renegade run in ME3) Male, relationship with Ashley and Jack (expecting conflict in ME3)
Currently playing as a female bi-polar Engineer. Played paragon in ME1 and playing renegade in ME2 with a planned paragon run in ME3. So far every run has been unique and fun to play. Soldier run was probably the strangest cause by the time I got there I was so used to being a class than can debuff enemies. Shooting shit and relying on squad mates to debuff was such a weird and foreign thing to me.
