Sup Bomb Squad, I'm sure you know the current deal of the week, so enlighten me, tell me which DLC I should buy with my remaining 400 points after buying Comic Jumper.
Mass Effect 2
Game » consists of 21 releases. Released Jan 26, 2010
After a violent death by an unknown force and a timely reanimation by the human supremacist organization Cerberus, Commander Shepard must assemble a new squad in the seedier side of the galaxy for a suicide mission in the second installment of the "Mass Effect" trilogy.
Kasumi or Overlord?
" Overlord is a lot longer, but I enjoyed Kasumi much more. It had a heist movie kind of feel. "I second this. But srsly, you should just get both.
Kasumi was better, since it at least mildly fit the ME universe. Overlord was of decent quality but it had absolutely nothing to do with the game at all. Also, you get an additional playable character out of Kasumi (Kasumi) who's actually pretty good. Neither of them were that great though; Shadow Broker is like an order of magnitude better than either.
Kasumi gives you more bang for your buck. New oufit, new weapon, new squad member. None of that in Overlord.
I felt Kasumi's mission was better, yeah she says very little and is sometimes an asshole. But her mission sounds better in my books, you see, the reason is that the Hammerhead is very sensitive to organic's thoughts. Almost like it does what the pilot inside fears the most, for example putting on too much thrust or setting on fire.
I enjoyed Overlord a lot more than Kasumi. For one thing Overlord is much longer, and it has a more engaging plot, plus some great music. Kasumi is a really interesting character and has some cool abilities, but it's all over too quickly. Overlord ends with an emotionally engaging finale.
The story of Overlord was better and way more rough, but you can take Kasumi with you on other missions, so she's got the longevity. This is good quality or quantity issue, so this is when you gotta look deep inside and learn about yourself. (important things to know :P) Or you could just buy Ninja Turtles 89'.
Would buying Overlord and Kasumi and Shadow Broker be a good way to go? I'll hit my 2400 points for this month and get 800 back, which would be nice. Do you get a sexy amount of quality content for the moneys?
If you know what you're in for when buying Mass Effect 2 DLC, then go ahead, you'll have Kasumi who's useful in close quarters; at your back when you're going for the Shadow Broker mission. You'll also have the DLC there for any other character playthroughs you make in future or previous character saves to replay.
Also the Shadow Broker mission has allot of Bioware's usual Mass Effect humour in it, well worth the funny you will find in the DLC.
shouldn't even be a contest. get kasumi unless you are done with the main campaign.
she's a extremely OP character. flashbang is the best crowd control in the game, and shadowstrike does massive damage to everything.
but more importantly you get the locust smg, which is basically an assault rifle.
The Locust is great, but I really liked the bits in overlord where it got crazy. Which I can't really explain without ruining the whole thing.
Overlord is better in terms of quality but for gameplay benefit, Kasumi's Stolen Memory is better. You get Kasumi who is a good squadmate, the Locust SMG which is one of the most damaging weapons in the game, and from doing her mission you can get the Flashbang Grenade for yourself which is one of the most debilitating and effective powers in the game.
