Looks like Direct2Drive is having a "Mid-Week Munchies" sale (sounds like "Mid-Week Madness" to me), offering Mass Effect 2 for just $4.95. Great deal if you don't already own it!

I've used Direct2Drive in the past and have had no problems with the games I've downloaded from them. A nice thing about their service is it keeps track of all your downloads so you can get them again any time.

That is a ridiculous price for such an amazing game.  I bought the collectors edition for full price when it came out and I would have gladly paid double that for just the game alone. 

I'm guessing you can't redeem it on steam?

Sweet. I bought it for $9 on Amazon during a lightning deal a while back. Then bought all the DLC for like $7 total. Still haven't even played the game.... Hahaha.

Heh, i'm still not finished Mass Effect 1, even.

Never played Mass effect. I own Mass Effect on Steam and will play it someday, would love to buy 2 as well so i know i have it.

This product is only available for purchase in the United States and Canada.

@Sayishere: EA Games bought from other sources don't seem to hook into Steam. I got ME2 for free from EA's digital store as a reward / apology for buying Dragon Age 2. I've manually added it to my Steam list, and Steam is like "OK, but what is this MassEffect2 you speak of? I can't give you notifications or a news-feed."

On the other hand, I bought Fallout: New Vegas from Direct2Drive, and once it installs it authenticates through Steam and gives out Steam achievements. It depends on the publisher.

Only these titles can be registered through Steam if you bought it from a retailer or another online source. Basically any games that are 'Steamwork'.
