I know Bioware is working hard to make Mass Effect 2 an amazing ps3 port, but do you guys think that they'll be able to lock the frame rate at 30FPS? I believe the game runs on the Unreal Engine (which the ps3 sometimes suffers from in multiplatform releases)

@Ketchupp: Yeah I played it already. It runs pretty well, but there's a few frame rate drops in the firefights. But since I don't know what stage of development the demo reflects, I'm wondering if they had locked it at 30FPS for the final product.....

@bolognarock: I would look at this then. I would trust them before Lenses of Truth ad LOT kinda pick and choose in order to have the winner they want. Digital Foundry are way more thorough.

The demo is not a good indication of the overall quality. I read somewhere recently (I'll try and find a link soon) that the demo is heavily compressed.

It is. The intro video is horribly compressed and looks like garbage.

Basically, both ME games on 360 had slight issues themselves.  ME1 had HORRIBLE texture pop in, and the final cut scene had such issues on the 360 that the textures NEVER properly/fully loaded...which sucked.  Also in ME 2, there was a whole cut scene that bugged for me near the end of the game regarding someone's relative and a loyalty mission so I missed some awesome parts.  I am sure the final product will be fine on the PS3.  For some reason the demo is horribly compressed everywhere.

PS3 version has slightly worse framerate, and more screen tearing. Par for the course.

How come in every 360/PS3 comparison video the 360 version looks darker?  Are they just playing with the default brightness settings?
