ME2's Achievements (Spoilers)

Note that they do not cover up the story achievements, though anyone paying attention to all the information that has been released probably knows everything that they reveal.

Here they are. They're on a French site (France has been on the ball with the leaks lately):

Looks like they did away with the 'keep the teammate in your squad' achievements, replaced with recruitment and loyalty achievements. Only the Insanity achievement relates to difficulty, and level 30 seems to be the cap. Some specialist achievements return. I find the long service medal interesting, with players either completing two playthroughs or one ME1 playthrough and one ME2 playthrough.

One thing I see that I don't like: "Thresher Maw". I was really hoping they would not return.

I imagine with the better combat system thresher maws will be a more interesting battle now rather then a lucky move and shoot tank battle.

No more good/bad ending or multiple runthrough ones with two different party members are really what this games achievements needed ( although if there were I would have done it anyways)

maybe youll have to fight the thresher maw on foot this time around.

Interesting.  Got every achievement in Mass Effect but two, the difficulty-related ones, and had fun playing through the game multiple times for them.  Something I don't regularly do had there been no achievements.  I didn't click that though, I think I've been spoiled enough as it is.

@Chaser324:
Well, we still haven't seen the new Mako. I'm also sure they made some changes to how it fights to make it less frustrating.

And I guess this isn't much of a leak, since 360achievements also posted it. Same spoiler warning applies:

My analysis for the companion + story related ones (actually all of them, but spoilered for story and companion stuff). My guess for the "loyalty" achievements is that you need to complete that character's personal sidequest, but some seem worded like you just need to get them to like you enough.

Well, all the squad members have pretty much been confirmed

Thankfully most of the acheivements seem to be obtainable in one or two playthroughs, which is a nice change of pace from "Use power X times" and "Complete most of the game with X party member" that dominated the first game.

Yeah, I'm a bit sad I've spoiled all the companions for myself, but whatever, they're pretty obvious when they show up in-game anyways

Gahhhh! Can't wait!

Seems like they're reusing a lot of achievements too....

Not much reuse, aside from Power Gamer, Paramour, and the three power achievements.

Still pretty fucking uninspired though. Maybe I'll get another sweet N7 gamerpic though- I've been using that one ever since I unlocked it

1000G - Kill Shepard

AWESUM!

Pretty much the same standard for achievements as in the first game. Nothing completely off the wall, and it will likely be a pretty easy 1000G like the first game was. What I find pretty interesting though is the achievement "Long Service Medal" that takes less time to get if you import a save file. Pretty neat idea.

Seems more like an epic boss.

Oh and thank god for these achievements. One thing that stopped me from even attempting all the achievements in the first one was that it demanded too much damn time! These seem more geared towards a One time play routine. Which is ironic since I know I'm gonna play through this game at least 6 times for all the classes rather than rush the first one.

Oh and we're in a spoiler thread so I don't care about these but: The recruitment achievements have the characters names in the icons.

The recent Gamespot preview (The 2nd latest one from them) confirmed Garrus is Archangel. So Garrus is a recruitable Party mate. OH and FREAKING LEGION IS RECRUITABLE AS WELL :D:D:D

@Zereta:
Yeah, the teammates seem to be all comfirmed.

What I find interesting is that some of the story achievements use the same symbols as the recruitment achievements. We know we recruit at least a gunner for the Normandy, so maybe we recruit other people during those missions. Or maybe there are teammates that are secrets or hard to get.

I just looked at the full cinematic trailer, and I think you might be right.

Yes. Probably. I'm thinking there are some rare one offs that are hard to get into our party.

Yea. Though ME2 fails if I cannot get that same gun to blow it up :P
