Shepard's voice acting seems a bit dodgey. New race looks great though. Metapod anyone?

Its great that they are putting in other alien species but am I the only one that is really bothered by the fact that there were no female Turians, Krogans, Salarians, hanar etc in ME1? They were all male. I really hope that Bioware fixes this in the sequel

Yeah, but in that new trailer, you saw Shepard with a quarian and a human. Didn't that quarian look awful lot like a male?

I am very stoked for this game. According to IGN you won't be able to carry over your level from ME1.  Also of note from IGNs preview is the fact that your health will regeneraye as opposed to health packs.

I'm very pumped for Mass Effect 2. Dragon Age and this are pretty much my chocolate and peanut butter of RPGs. From all of the previews I saw they seem to have fixed the major problems of frame rate and texture pop in. Now, if they can only make the surface of explorable planets a little more interesting it'll be gravy.

    Interesting
    *strokes goatee*

But from the footage they showed at gamespot live at E3, it looked harder than the first game. The guy was playing for like 5 min and he almost died.

Alien meets Max Payne?  Don't see or comprehend the idea of a Max Payne influence, maybe the grimace on his face...

" I'm very pumped for Mass Effect 2. Dragon Age and this are pretty much my chocolate and peanut butter of RPGs. From all of the previews I saw they seem to have fixed the major problems of frame rate and texture pop in. Now, if they can only make the surface of explorable planets a little more interesting it'll be gravy. "

The Dr.'s said they made the side planets have their own interesting and unique things to do on them.  I really hope so, that'd add a lot to the game.

Quite the opposite in fact. Liara was a "true blood", something that was shameful in the Asari society.

You can learn most of what is known in the Mass Effect 2 page.
However, asari are a asexual female-looking race, so they do not have a gender. However, I do believe they can have babies with any alien race.

    Crazzzzyyyyy......

Me and T'soni were tight in the first game. Wonder what's goin' on.

And about asaris, they are asexual. Even though they look female, they don't really have a gender. They reproduce by themselves.

Not exactly. Asari are all the same unigender, but they do need a partner to reproduce. Also, they are able to reproduce with other races besides their own. Even more head-trippy, they can mate with any other gender of any race, seeing how they themselves are a single gender, so can adapt however they may need to. Since they have become a space-faring race, asari have made it their goal to reproduce with other races, as to better their own gene pool and become the single most diverse intergalactic species; this is why inner-asari breeding is taboo and the offspring is called "Full Bloods," a major insult within their culture.

Long, kinda creepy story short, one of the primary reasons Liara is interested in bedding with Shepard is so that he/she can knock her up and pass along the positive genetic traits that "she" sees in him. Also, most likely to have her own shame of being a full blood somewhat forgiven.

And I was happy to fulfill her need in the first game. Oh yeah.... lol.
