Poll: How Many people died in your original Mass Effect 2 Ending?

#1 Posted by Brontes_Muse (187 posts) -
#2 Edited by Hitchenson (4682 posts) -

None. It's really not hard to keep everyone alive.

To answer your second question: I blew that sucka up.

#3 Posted by NoXious (1335 posts) -

Mordin went and got himself deaded in my first run through.
Fixed by making him the escort on my reload, which was unfortunate but meh.

For Me just "Jack" died, because I didn't have her loyalty.

Also Please answer wether or not you blew up the reaper station/ base.

#6 Posted by Oriental_Jams (3063 posts) -

Jack died, couldn't get her loyalty back after the argument.

#7 Posted by Whisperkill (2969 posts) -

Tali. I did not like her, so I just kept going.

#8 Posted by Regal (428 posts) -

Zaeed and Tali (meh and NOOOOOOO!)

Also my non combat crew didn't come out on top supposedly. And sure enough, back in the normandy it's eerily empty.

No one died, because Anthony Shepard Leaves no man or space creature behind.

She is better as the side character she was in Mass Effect 1. I find no interesting qualities in her in the sequel.

All my people lived since I did EVERYTHING before doing the Suicide mission, and I mean everything from exploring all planets to probing Uranus.
I also don't like Tali.

Well then why don't you tell me why you love her so much

Miranda Zaeed and Legion

#17 Posted by guiseppe (2833 posts) -

None of the team members, but some of the crew did.

#18 Posted by CaptainObvious (2981 posts) -

Nobody dies on my duty. Pardner.

#19 Posted by rjayb89 (7713 posts) -

Assuming you meant those of my squad's, then I lost none.  The crew, on the other hand, I lost half of them including Kelly.  Then I destroyed the base.

#20 Posted by Brontes_Muse (187 posts) -
@rjayb89: I did mean squad,  if you had "relations" with any of the crew members I think you lost Kelly and half the crew.  But if you only flirted with kelly and no one else that half of the crew gets saved.
#21 Posted by Novyx (479 posts) -
@Brontes_Muse:
It's time-dependent. You have to go through the relay as soon as the crew gets taken.
#22 Posted by Shinri (534 posts) -

Everyone died. Even Joker.
#23 Posted by Brontes_Muse (187 posts) -
@Novyx: I stand corrected.
#24 Posted by Driadon (2990 posts) -

One, Thane sucks as a squad leader. I also saved all of my crew and then blew up the ship.

Exactly what happened to me.

Not one.

#27 Posted by Spongetwan (201 posts) -
Two of my people died Legion and Jack. I dont understand because they both were loyal to me Zaeed wasnt loyal and he survived ;/
#28 Posted by Yummylee (20558 posts) -

Only Miranda.

#29 Posted by CornontheCobbe (2645 posts) -

None yet... haven't got that far.

#30 Posted by DarkShaper (1296 posts) -

The crew died and I lost Zaeed and Legion.
I blew up the base.

#31 Posted by End_Boss (3220 posts) -

On my first play through Thane, Jack, Tali and Jacob died. I didn't pay enough attention to upgrading the Normandy; a mistake I do not intend to repeat this time around. Losing so many people was rough, but I really didn't feel bad about losing Thane since he's got what, six months to live anyway (this is the part where somebody says that if he survives you find some miraculous cure to his disease or something ridiculous like that)?

Anyway, I have a question:

#32 Posted by nietzsche7 (19 posts) -

Tali. So I went back. About 3 hours of playtime. There's no way she's dying and it was because of Zaeed which frustrates me even more.

#34 Posted by sixpin (1277 posts) -
@End_Boss: I would have to say yes. Everything I've seen says that loyalty is required for survival. If you are high enough in paragon or renegade then it won't be an issue for you.
#35 Posted by rjayb89 (7713 posts) -

I didn't lose anyone on my second playthrough because I've learned the SYSTEM.  I am above it.

#36 Posted by End_Boss (3220 posts) -
@CaptainObvious: GB would choose now to bork its spoiler-tag system.
@sixpin: Balls.
@rjayb89: I believe the question was how many did you lose on your first play through.
#37 Posted by CaptainObvious (2981 posts) -
@End_Boss: Balls. Anyways, avoid using Miranda at all, if she's not loyal.
#38 Posted by Cornman89 (1579 posts) -

None, sucka!

#39 Posted by Jeffk38uk (710 posts) -

No one, including the rest of the crew. Very rare do you worry so much if your decisions and choices may lead to their death or not, so kudo's to ME2 for that.

#40 Edited by LegionFan (9 posts) -

I lost Legion in the engines because I didn't get the shields.

I lost Garrus to the swarms.

Samara, Miranda and Mordion (sp?) to the last squads. And maybe Jack.

This sentence makes me want to play this game.  Sounds like there are some REAL decisions within this game.

But first I would have to play through the first one again, because I deleted my save file.  I know.  Biggest mistake of my life and the only reason why I'm not currently playing the second one.  But please someone answer this question for me.

WARNING POSSIBLE SPOILER!

Does that huge insect looking creature you either save or kill on the ice planet in the first one make an appearance?
#42 Posted by upwarDBound (654 posts) -

Lots

#43 Posted by Workyticket (108 posts) -
@tbone81889: You mean the Rachni?, You don't see them, but if you save them in ME1 you do get a message from them saying they'll be on your side when you go into the final fight against the Reapers (I.E.: ME3 comes with a Rachni army!)

As for my death toll, I lost Samara, Zaeed and Garrus. I quiclky worked out where I went wrong but TBH didn't go back to a previous save. Love the idea that main characters can die in this series and wanted to carry my decisions through to ME3.

Next playthrough though, no-one's dying. Well, maybe Jack (Schemes...)

Not that exact creature, but there are others creatures of that caliber/ size.
However I felt there where not as many "big" creatures as in the first game.

In my original one, Grunt died, Tali died.

Tali got owned by a headshot because she was dum enough to stick her head out all LOLOL COLLECTORS WON'T GET IN HERE NAO *wham*...

Grunt was team leader of other team which I must say I really did think that all this crap about being a krogan warlord hybrid would make him a natural leader but then again really he's the savage and I forgot all about that.

#46 Posted by killer_meatballs (460 posts) -

Lost Thane and Mordin.  Blew up the Collector thingy.

#47 Posted by mracoon (4914 posts) -

I'm surprised so many people had two or more people die in their mission. I can understand losing one person by choosing the wrong person for one of the final tasks but apart from that I think it's quite hard to get everyone killed unless you're really trying.

@tbone81889: In a way. She relays a message to you via an Asari on Illium.

Nobody. I'm a goddamn hero.

Tali died after being my tech in the vents, I saved the Collector base so it can be researched and help in the fight against the Reapers
