I sent Zaeed down a tunnel by himself & he wasn't loyal to me.
He died quick & painless.
Mass Effect 2
Game » consists of 21 releases. Released Jan 26, 2010
After a violent death by an unknown force and a timely reanimation by the human supremacist organization Cerberus, Commander Shepard must assemble a new squad in the seedier side of the galaxy for a suicide mission in the second installment of the "Mass Effect" trilogy.
Poll: How Many people died in your original Mass Effect 2 Ending?
None of mine dies, though half the crew did. I was sort of cut to see Kelly die right in front of me.
I though Garrus was going to bite the dust because he came through the door and seemed to wince, double over and grab at his stomach (?). But no, he was fine.
I kind of want to intentionally have people die on my second playthrough, it seems like it would create more emotional resonance if that happened.
Miranda died for some reason. I havent quite figured it out... Think it might have something to do with the fight between her and Jack about half way through the game. Well, half way through might not be very accurate since it depends on which missions you take on and in what order you do them.
Nobody died for me. Had full loyalty and all the ship upgrades. Sent Tali through vents, Garrus lead team, Samara did biotics, and sent Mordin back to escort. I brought Tali and Miranda with me for the final battle. Apparently, the stronger the people you leave behind at the final battle the better (prevents random deaths I think), and if the people you bring are loyal, the two won't be dead when you check on them after the battle.
@Captain_Insano: I think Garrus doubling over is his little idea of a joke there, since I know if you send someone foolish, like Tali or something to lead the team, they die there even if loyal, with a similar animation.
I'm glad such a larger portion of people had no one die at the end. Good for you. I wonder if I asked this question to more recreational gamers, (Giant bomb's pretty hardcore) what the result would be.
Alright, this is something that has been bothering me lately and you all may think I'm crazy for it too.
During my first playthrough I wanted some of my crew members to die but none did.
There I said it. Realize though, that I loved everyone and while I really didn't want them to perish because of my bad decision making, I wanted my playthrough of Mass Effect 3 to be a little different than the conventional masses. I said this was bothering me because I find that people constantly reloaded their saves just to get everyone to survive the mission. WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS? I understand you want to save everyone, but do yourself a favor and make an extra save! Playing through the game with the decisions you make and dealing with the consequences brings you into a much deeper state of immersion than constantly reloading your save so you can get exactly what you wanted. It takes so much away if you just straight shot it and went full paragon or renegade too. Make those snap decisions that sometimes lead to a paragon/renegade decision. These things are what make a game like Mass Effect 2 great!
Tali got a bullet in the mask. Bad times.
Shouldn't have beefed with Legion if you ask me. Robot sniper > Bubble girl.
Grunt died in mine, I had him in my party because I thought he was badass but he got killed by the swarm :(. I have a save just before the end that I'll probably go back to before ME3 and keep him alive though.
The first time I accidentally picked Thane for something and got him killed so at the end I reloaded and saved everyone.
Yoeman Kelly Chambers doesn't have to die?? I just found this out.
When I first found her dead I was like NOOOOO NOT Yoeman Kelly Chambers! WHY COULDN'T DR CHAKWAS DIE INSTEAD?
Infact that's when I started really hating the collectors. Shit, I didn't care when Grunt or Jack died, but Kelly :(
I was hella paranoid for the ending of that game... I did everything i possibly could've to keep everyone alive. It turns out that it's not terribly difficult keep people from dying. I'm playing a second time through without upgrading anything and i'll see how many of my guys die this time.
Garrus died in my first play through of the end mission. It wasn't even his fault, I just made the decision to have Miranda do the biotic shield instead of Samarra. I boned that one. I even managed to keep the whole crew safe, but not Garrus. :(
Also I totally blew the shiat out of the collector ship at the end.
I don't know why, but the first time i played the last part of Mass Effect 2, i brought Grunt and Zaeed (by mistake) finished the mission just fine, but Mordin died. Now i had done every quest, all the sidequest, even the Firewalker en Kazumi DLC missions, and i don't know why he died. So i loaded a previous save game and brought Mordin with me in the last fight, after i did that, everyone lived.
me most of my team members died...don't know why n how to save them,,,,, hahaha IL try playing it again and make diff deferent decisions....
if most of my team mate die? are they dead when i import my save to mass effect 3 ?
Mass Effect 2
4.
I tried to kill the bald thing and the masked bitch. It worked and was really sweet to watch. The scientist got it and so did wrex, unfortunately. Which made it all bitter sweet because Wrex was a squad mate. I thought he should lead the other team. Got it as we were pulling out. Like a champ.
I will play again before 3 and make sure Wrex lives. No way I am playing more Mass Effect with out my team. Wrex and the bug are my team.
I lost Thane cause apparently infiltrator =/= door opening specialist.
