Booted up the game today to continue my Insane playthrough and I happened to read the Cerberus Daily News thingie. 
Sadly they won't be continuing with the daily updates any more, but there is a plus side to it. 
  
 Here's what they said:
 

The Cerberus Daily News will begin a hiatus on January 24th, finishing its run of one full year. Daily postings will cease except for three weeks in 2011: a week of posts will precede a downloadable content release, and two more weeks will lead up to the release of Mass Effect 3. The CDN team thanks fans for their attention, comments, and feedback (both in and out of character!). We are sorry to go, but we had fun — we hope you did, too!

Great news that there's another DLC but what a huge bummer that there gonna stop the fake Cerberus Daily News, I really enjoyed reading that stuff everytime I logged in, reading the fake news about stuff that happens in that universe made it feel more real and alive, especially when they talked about stuff like the intergalactic olympics, superbowl and the new years eve times square ball

The DLC packs are going to connect ME2 to ME3. I heard they will make three of them, Shadow Broker was the first.

I remember reading a news post from February or so, where it mentioned that a slave ring or a drug cartel got taken down and Spectre Tela Vasir declined to comment.  And then six months later, there's Tela Vasir in the video game flesh.  Awesome.

So the Cerberus news could build up to a bigger DLC like LotSB or an even bigger bridging DLC... *hopes*

I hope it is character focused. I would love to see more of Thane and Mordin and Samara in the DLC. A mission like Overloard was cool and stuff but the character attachment that was alreadt established made Lair of the Shadow Broker much easier to enjoy

I want an expansion pack that will last in 20 hours or more first playthrough, and gaps the story in ME3. But if not, a 1-2 hour DLC with more Mass Effect is good too. I loved all of the DLC's so, "Yes please!"

The fake news was kind of cool, but I must admit I only read about 10 % of the news during the year. Maybe I'll catch up by reading it on that webside you linked to. 
 
I didn't expect more DLC, but I'm not complaining, the quality of the DLC have been good so far unlike the ME1 or DA DLC.

Just so I'm clear on the timeline of events... is there even a timeline of events on any of the Mass Effect 2 DLC? While I know Overlord, Shadow Broker, and Kasumi's stuff can all be done before and after the final events of the game, how would this play out if they were to make DLC that connects ME2 to ME3? Should we just assume that all DLC is completely timeline neutral, henceforth meaning they directly have nothing to do with the final events of the game?

I figured that they would have one more DLC release close to the Mass Effect 3 release.

The fact that right about now they probably have all the voice actors back in for ME3 and could easily have them record some stuff for some ME2 DLC is the most exciting thing about future DLC for me. "

Pre-LC as English dude during the Reaper invasion would be a fucking sick setup for ME3 - maybe have the Reapers black out Earth comms and he has to get the SOS out somehow.  I want the Millennium Dome to turn into a Reaper (which is why it cost so much and looks so ridiculous).

Bummer the daily news is coming to an end for ME2 though. I've gotten used to reading them every day the past month or two.

Not surprised there's more DLC coming. They need something to actually sell to the people buying the PS3 version that includes the other stuff.

I hope that new DLC would be more like dragon age awakening expansion so that I could play it more than 5 hours. please!

I'm guessing it's going to be the DLC that "bridges the gap" between the two games somehow. Which is probably way better than the multimedia tie-in nonsense that is the alternative to just having it in game. (It's like how Lair of the Shadow Broker is built upon that tie-in comic that nobody read)
 
As long as it's not going to be a string of hammerhead segments and some shooting like Overlord, I will purchase it, even though Bioware is thoroughly incapable of understanding the content to dollar ratio for expanded content.

I don't want DLC, Its expensive. I still haven't bought SB out of resentment. Just give me ME3!!!

About the Cerberus Daily New, does it seem feasible that the old updates could just be replayed through on the PS3 version over this coming year? 
I'm not really sure what they are but it sounds like they set up more back story and details about the game's universe. I'd like to see a few while I'm playing.

Good to know there more stuff for sure, but disappointed there's only one big DLC left.  I have a feeling that it's gonna come out around the time of the PS3 release.
