    After a violent death by an unknown force and a timely reanimation by the human supremacist organization Cerberus, Commander Shepard must assemble a new squad in the seedier side of the galaxy for a suicide mission in the second installment of the "Mass Effect" trilogy.

    Trying to get the ending where everyone dies.

    I haven't done any loyalty missions. I haven't purchased any upgrades. 
     
    I acquired the Reaper IFF. The Stop the Collectors mission currently states "Awaiting IFF Installation." But I've done all the main and side quests that I know will guarantee success. I still have the Dossier missions where I can acquire Kasumi and Zaeed.  
     
    If I acquire one or both of them, am I screwing up my chances?

    Probably not, because I'm pretty sure that without upgrades to the ship, you aren't going to make it through in one piece.

    You'll make it through, but you will lose a couple of people (at least one in an engineering explosion). You also want to make sure to choose the wrong people for each mission at the end. It's pretty easy to see who would be good at the job and not, so choose the person who would be bad for it. For example, you will split into 2 squads at the end, and you need to nominate a good leader, so choose someone with little or no leadership qualities (like Jack).
