Worth Buying Again for PS3?

#1 Posted by KaosAngel (13765 posts) -

I would like to lazy my ass up without the KB+M and play with the 7.1 audio and "native" resolution.

Problem is, I have a vested interest in my PC character and I have spent a good amount of hours on him...and refuse to even start up a new game on PC as my character is the only real one...it's gotten so bad, that I email my save datas to myself once a month to make sure I never lose it incase something goes wrong to my PC.

However, this notion of extras and whatnot have me interested...but the lack of ME1 turns me off.  I enjoy ME1 more than ME2 at parts...mostly due to the mysteries and crap...something ME2 lacked.  :|

What say you Whiskey?

Why would you buy an inferior version of a game you already have? The "extras and whatnot" are just DLC (which you can buy for the other versions) and an introduction sequence (which is designed for people who haven't played the first Mass Effect).

i'd say no

@Icemael: I would like to relax on the couch for once instead on the craps I got in the chair.  Plus I heard the game does sound a lot better on the 360 in terms of cinematic feel, and I would like to just lazy it up.  None of this would be the case if the damn PC version threw in an optional 360 Controller Support!

Buy a wireless keyboard and mouse and hook your PC up to the TV.

Spend $60 on a game you already have?

No. You should not do that.

Wait until we know what those extra's are?

And believe me your own Shepard >> default Shepard.
It's your story, that makes it so much better then just a space rpg shooter!

http://pinnaclegameprofiler.com/                        Download the 30 day trial, and fully explore the control options. Most games that you think should work well with the 360 pad, will work well with the 360 pad.

I might, depending on what the extras are and how much DLC is included. My Characters are on the 360 version but since they have mentioned multiplayer for ME3 I might have to switch over.

However, there's the whole ME1 and Wrex issue, no Wrex, no buy.

Yeah, same situation for me.  Without ME1 I can't play ME2, I saw my friend play ME2 without the first and he told me he didn't see half the stuff I got to see and didn't have the ME1 romances, etc.

ME1 is still a key part to the story, and more important than ME2 in my eyes.  ME2 was just a prep mission for the big cause, but ME1 was the adventure and the experience.  >.>

I shall look into the controller support, if it works well then I won't need the PS3.  Bioware needs to put it in standard now...x.x

I would say wait until the PS3 version gets a bit more detailed, we still have no idea how they will incorporate the backstory of ME1 into ME2.

I have ME1/ME2 on my 360 and I am pretty sure that I will play through ME2 again on my PS3.  I would love to hear their integration plans, and I hope they plan to surprise us and say there is at least one version of the game that comes with ME1.  While ME1 has some glaring problems, the story is still stellar.  I also hope that ME2 on PS3 comes up to date with ALL of the current DLC that's out.  I would love that.

PC >>>>>>>> any version.

Sounds to me as if you've already made up your mind. If you have an itch, scratch it! I for one wouldn't want to play ME on consoles 'cause I think the controls are clunky as hell on the  360 ver which is sad 'cause I like the controller.

I dunno man, I saw my friend play on the 360 and it looked quicker than holding down Shift/Space to do commands with the KB+M.  He was just spinning that stick in a direction and just ordered commands.
