Mordin is the most deep and interesting character in the entire ME Universe.
Garrus is my best friend.
Joker is the most fun to talk to.
So, Mordin.
Game » consists of 19 releases. Released Mar 06, 2012
I liked a lot of the characters in the Mass Effect games. Garrus felt like a brother to me by the end of it. Thane was incredibly well voice acted and I liked his personality. I found Mordin to be quite comical in the way he approached problems and his constant conversations he had with himself. Overall, I would have to say Mordin with Garrus extremely close behind him. I enjoyed almost every character in the series except for Jacob. I found him to be so boring.
Mordin. "Asari vorcha offspring have an allergy to dairy..." The was worth the 60 bucks by itself.
Mass Effects characters are probably it's strongest point.

Saren. Why is no one saying Saren? He was pretty much the only character in the series with any substance and with consistently good acting.
Well... just pretend this didn't happen:
You're right! Saren is how to do space villain. That's why the first game had the best story, because Saren was such a good character that you wanted to catch up with him, interact with him and confront him and so you chased him around the galaxy and it was awesome!
God Damn it why couldn't Sarren Stick around until ME3? Imagine him and the Illusive man teamed up.
Ok So I don't know why every single person hasn't said Mordin. As a character he is perfect. He has a terrific voice actor, great writing, he is witty, funny, smart, and probably is responsible for the most interesting conflict in the entire Mass Effect universe. Remember how Mass effect 1 gave you Tali so that you'd feel sorry for the quarians? Then in ME2 you had legion, now the faceless other side of that conflict had someone to care about and a whole other view of said said conflict never even mentioned in ME1 could be explored. The same thing happened with the Genophage.
In ME1 you felt bad for the race of big brutes because Wrex was likable, when he was bummed out about the genophage, so were you. Aside from Captain Kirahe all the salarians come off as sleazy businessmen, conmen, or uncaring of the other races problems. But Mordin allowed you to see the other side of the story, his people aren't evil, they are short lived and did what was thought to be the best solution. Imagine if krogans overpopulated the galaxy, they are pretty hard to stop and can live for hundreds if not thousands of years. Without Mordin I would have been anti genophage, but since he is there and his chracter is so well done you can get a sense of why it was done and that maybe it was a smart move at the time.
You can tell Mordin is trying to look at things with reason and justifying his actions with the idea that the needs of the many out way the needs of the few. But as ME2 progresses we see that perhaps he feels like the genophage was a mistake, there is an internal conflict, guilt for possibly dooming an entire species.
@Donkeycow: Lol Corporal Jenkins was like in the first 5 minutes of ME and died...
My favorite character was Liara, her character changed so much from 1 to 2, She went from innocent and misunderstand to dark and dangerous. Although in ME3 it seemed as she did not give a shit about Shepard and harldy had a conversation.
Garrus and Tali.. partly because they're the only ones with you through out all 3 games, but they're definitely the ones you feel closest to by the end. I actually think it's a shame they caved to fan pressure and made them both romance options, as I think that somewhat cheapened the relationship with them.
Mordin is runner up.
I might be alone here, but Edi quickly became one of my favourite characters in the entire series. It might be my adoration of Tricia Helfer clouding my judgment here, but I I thought she was awesome. Had her as a squadmate throughout the entire game. All the stuff with her becoming more "human", her past with Cerberus, and her relationship with Joker were all pretty interesting. Slightly cheesy at times (especially the stuff with the Joker) but still interesting.
Other than her, I'd have to say either Garrus or Mordin.
Garrus. That dude is probably the best written character, and even sometimes better than Shepard.
Thane got a TON of cool point from me in ME3, and his backstory pretty much had the writing on the wall of his looming fate.
Tali, for the women for all the reasons I like Garrus, she's not as heavy-handed as Liara and doesn't get on my nerves like Jack did. And... BOOBS AND ASS~! Miranda (who has a good backstory, but everytime you see her, camera shot on her ass)
I spent way too long trying to answer this question, and I'm still not sure. Mordin. I'm gonna go with Mordin.

Mordin and Garrus are my two top picks followed closely by Thane and Wrex.
Nice!
My fav would be Garrus.. they should make a spinoff game starring him. Or better yet, a movie/TV show where he is an interstellar mall cop (who kills petty thieves).
I also liked Mordin, Wrex, Liara and Thane. A lot of really cool characters in this series!

Aside from Shepard this is a no brainer. Garrus.
It's either Garrus or Tali for me. Garrus is a man who will always have your back.
Miranda has an actual character arc and story thru 2-3 that's pretty cool. Watching her change and turn away from cerberus was more than I expected out of the writers.
Mordin is a lot of fun and his story is really important to the mass effect world.
I like Liara alright too mostly because of the voice actor. Garus is alright. Wrex was awesome in one but kind of went bland in the other games. Kasumi was surprisingly cool. too bad she didnt get more story.
Yeah it's Miranda tho. The stuff with her sister and father was great, and the wrapup on Sanctuary was pretty amazing.
